Man I know somebody will agree with me when I say this but there should be a spin off show about kakashj and his generation coming up through the Ninja ranks cause they were clearly more talented and most of them way more powerful
Kakashi is the most likeable and interesting character in the whole series to me and they really made him seem like a badass and a bytch all at the same time
I hate how they wrote him in the second part. He was one of if not my favorite ninja in the beginning. I remember we use to joke about him being hospital no jutsu after every fight and running out of chakra.

Naruto was ruined when the theme of the series was turned upside its head and Neji's philosphy was proven right after all. Naruto should've stayed some random kid and not a descendant of ninja royalty

Also as the series wore on the use of training and skill evaporated in favor of powerups on the fly. Watch the Zubuza arc and then something in Shippuden and it's like you're watching a different show

Rock Lee was the realest character in the whole show. He was the only one who truly had to grind in order to become great. Consequently that's why he became an afterthought

All of this!

Personally I think there was ups and down of Naruto. A lot of stuff i loved, some that was kinda boring, but overall Naruto has been my favorite.

Story lines like Zazuba, Chunin Exams, Rescue mission vs Sound 5, Pein, Itachi and the Akatsuki, 6 paths Naruto, Obito and even the ninja war had me binge watching episodes and in my feelings.

Love the secondary characters like Gaara, Rock Lee, Choji, Shikamaru, Hinata, Neiji, Asuma, Itachi. Wish we got way more character development from them. Def wish we got more of Rock Lee's drunken fist.

I hated all the fillers toward the end of Naruto and throughout Shippuden. Segments like the star village? and dream sequences were tough to get through or didnt pay attention to them playing in the background.

The problem Kishimoto had was that he couldn't decide if he wanted it to be dark or lighthearted, so we got a mixed bag of some questionable episodes. I get that not every episode has to be the Dark Knight, but it was so polarizing with the sillyness that it was hard to take seriously. The Haku/Zabusa arc was probably the most heartfelt its been. He tried capturing that feeling several times, but it just felt like trying to fukk a barrel from the top end...you're going nowhere.

After the pain arc it fell off. The great ninja war just seemed like a lazy plot line. That and it did get a bit ridiculous with them just flying around and using spirit and lightning bombs

It fell the fukk off for me after the Kakashi and Team Asuma vs Hidan and Kazuzu fight, and honestly it was trending downward pretty steadily before that fight. You started to see a lot less of what made the manga so interesting at that point; less strategy and tactics were used in each fight in lieu of random power ups and ass pulls, Naruto became less of an underdog and more of a shytty goku clone in terms of power ups, a lot of interesting side characters got little development or screen time etc. I stuck it out towards the end because the world and lore that Kishi built was incredibly interesting still, and there was enough cool moments spread out to keep me hooked, but overall it's not the highest quality shonen you can find tbh.

Too much filler i don't have time to fukking watch 300 episodes of boring shyt

Thats why Avatar the last airbender and The legend Of Korra will always be the goat

We rarely get Western animation aimed at people in the shonen group but when we do it's >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anime.

It's like at @Killigraphy said, these mangaka either can't write or they want shyt to be cool even when it wrecks the story.

All the damn flashbacks. And they were the same flashbacks over and over and over again. Like damn, how many times are you gonna show Obito dying WTF.

And the filler episodes. I just lost interest.

I hear Boruto is WOAT so far

I liked some of the epic moments in the Fourth War, and it took it being strung out for some of them, but I could see if someone saw the shyt that happened after Madara and was like "yeah this aint it"

I could also see if someone saw Obito's motivation and was like "BRO THIS nikka ASS", even tho I still rock with Obito

I just appreciated the epic moments, fights, jutsus and left it at that. I guess thats why I also kinda fukk with Bleach's last arc when many didnt

This was just :snoop:
Ive never understood people complaining about Obito being the reveal? I understand hating his motivation but with the name TOBI, Obito still being mentioned at all past part 1, Kakashi's Kamui just happening to have the same teleportation art design as Tobi's????? Who did yall think Tobi was?

Around season 2 I just stopped....I was done so many times though.

-Ninjas...really turning out to be samurai's.

-Rock Lee, the baddest muhfukker, goes full blown Akuma, and it never happens again nor do they even give him any spotlight.

-Naruto suffered from the protagonist curse in all of anime....except that, he's a living god....quite literally.

-Killed of Jiraiya, probably the move that had me drop the manga for a while.....they tried the same with Kakashi, but the fans weren't having it.

-Infantile writing. To me, this is the biggest problems with manga/anime. A lot of these guys didn't take one class of writing. Not that you should, but you can tell these guys are too self indulged on thinking about whats "cool" and less about what makes sense. Toriyama was victim of this very thing...except he basically just made it fight fluff anime. The Sasuke arc was probably the worst writing in anime history. All that Naruto went through, Orichimaru living on through Sasuke, and eventually it all culminating to them being friends, was probably the biggest fail ever. So Naruto doesn't get with Sakura, even though that was bae for two seasons, and she then proceeds to marry and has the baby of the dude who was going to kill her and the entire village....
The shyt right there, is just too dumb.

-Killing off Neji - So basically, anyone who deemed cool by the fans, died. From Jiraiya, to Asuma. I get that this is basically the imaginings of a guy who never took a writing class, but his beta is showing.

So many more, but this is the crux of it. Bad writing + Sasuke being the Mary Sue/Big Bad/redeemed tortured soul.
I think appealing to fans who just want every hero to live is dumb and killing Asuma and Jiraiya progressed both Shikamaru and Naruto and both were done FANTASTICALLY. you just wanted your favorite guys to live in that instance, but it was done very well. What ended up being shyt was that the blowback they got from those two and Neji resulted in a cop out when they wanted to kill off Guy and Kakashi. Now Ill admit, if Kakashi was dead, Naruto would've had no moral figure left (aside from Iruka but cmon) and the whole Obito deciding to change shyt would've had no emotional basis. Kakashi needed to live for plot reasons. But Guy would've went out like a G if he got killed hurting Madara and it would've also done wonders to push Kakashi into an emotional direction. Literally didnt happen A. to show Naruto's flashy healing ability B. the fans being pussies

and then you end up with a crippled withered Guy as the fallout from that
