It completely pisses on Interstellar.
Nothing fukking happened
This is why I can't take critics/movie snobs seriously. Cause y'all give this bullshyt props over actually entertaining flicks
I wasted RPX tickets on this shyt too. I was legit angry walking out of the theater
Was she depressed because her daughter really did die?She was quite clearly suffering from depression.
Was she depressed because her daughter really did die?
And her husband left?
Did she time travel back after meeting the aliens and did she get a 2nd chance to have a daughter and make things right with her husband?
That's how I took it. Like the alien contact reset time or some shyt.
I think it's dumb if they out those "future flashbacks" in the beginning though
But if she knew the husband was going to leave her if she told her why wouldn't she just changed the outcome and not tell him the futureShe didn't time travel or change anything
She knew her daughter would die due to being able to see the future and she chose to have the daughter anyway so she could experience the joy of her life
Her husband eventually will leave her because she tells him the daughter will die and she knew it before conception
"Wrong choice" he said
Its incredibly profound and thought provoking
But if she knew the husband was going to leave her if she told her why wouldn't she just changed the outcome and not tell him the future
Old post but I think it's funny that you, who said you watched it in Rotterdam so I assume you're Dutch, have to explain to presumably an American that others learning English doesn't necessarily develop communication as well as English speakers learning another languageNo, because again:
the point isn't communication between the two species, the point is us learning their language. That's the only point in fact. Not to speak with them, but because this language will unite us, which is necessary for humanity to assist the aliens 3000 years from now. Them learning English to explain it to us doesn't work because humanity had to learn to work together, so humanity had to decypher their language on their own, by learning to work together. That's why they came in twelve ships, each a single piece of the larger puzzle (one out of twelve) that revealed the true secret/power behind their language. It's not that fukking difficult, breh.
from what I understand the short story dives more into the topic of predestination, apparently the future is essentially unchangeable because it's already happened. The reasons she has memories of the future is because it has already happened. But if she knew the husband was going to leave her if she told her why wouldn't she just changed the outcome and not tell him the future
Oh okay makes sense.from what I understand the short story dives more into the topic of predestination, apparently the future is essentially unchangeable because it's already happened. The reasons she has memories of the future is because it has already happened.
