Turned the console off and back on and it worked
He tries to kill you twice in the game, dont kill him tho. He sells shyt nobody else does.

Id say play this game or Dark Souls 1 remastered 1st
IMO Dark souls 1 is easier than Demon Souls for 1st timers you atleast have bonfire checkpoints where you wont have to replay the whole level if you die. But a word of caution if you do decide to play it once you get the hang of it the game will seem super easy until when you get to Anor Londo then thats when the game really starts
