Let's say Democrats decided to do what you want, how would they convey this to the public at large? Simply being quiet about it wouldn't erase the stigma, because the right-wing machine would still make it an issue. Let's say, they come out and say "we don't support trans athletes playing on sports teams with women, and in women's restrooms or locker rooms, and we want to restrict any and all education on the subject, and put strict medical restrictions on therapy, social transition, etc. until 21," do you think that would help Democrats? Or would they have to start passing laws that target them or start attacking them in public?

Democrats need to backstop this sliding assumption that trans individuals are obligated to challenge women in competitive sports, share the same spaces, or that youth gender transitions or even affirmations are legitimate endeavors. The ambiguous statements about “defending the law” or “supporting fairness” or “they’re not the issue” or “its a small number” or some other obfuscation is not clarifying this issue.

There needs to be assertive statements on what will and will not be tolerated by trans individuals, and especially democrats should look to limit embraces of this community. Democrats keep trying to adjudicate this in the shadows an hoping they dont have to address the details. Enough is enough.

I’m pretty direct. Democrat leadership needs to indicate they’re against trans participation in sports, against the bathroom stuff, or youth affirmation therapy etc.
