I’m pretty direct. Democrat leadership needs to indicate they’re against trans participation in sports, against the bathroom stuff, or youth affirmation therapy etc.

How would they convey this to the public at large in the context of the Republican smear machine where truth doesn't matter? Assertive statement are not enough to break that stigma. How would Democrats reassure other groups when the target flips back to them after they threw trans people under the bus? How would this effect trans allies?

The realization is that most democrats and functionally all republicans don’t care enough to defend trans issues this much. You’re confusing the noise of trans activists to the reality of how unpopular their stances are.

Also, the threat of the sliding scale against other groups is how we get to the point where we can’t even push back on trans excesses in public discourse. If we can’t offer pushback on some things, then we won’t offer pushback ever on anything. What you’re insinuating is that we have to allow everything or else some how some way some other marginalized group will suffer. There is a limit, and it has been reached. Speak to actual gays and lesbians who don’t appreciate trans issues.

No, but that ain’t a big deal or major issue with the a majority of the electorate.

Its only a big deal with homophobic ppl who probably don’t even come across transgender ppl in they everyday life.

It's not even a "they don't vote". I'm just pointing out that the voter numbers aren't there or at least in meaningful numbers in numerous places or we would have more AOC/XYZ across the country in state legislators/congress/senate.

I mean, I don’t know many solidly blue districts where if a progressive ran with party backing that they would lose. But progressives skew younger and that group will never outvote older people.
