Just allow that Progressive Party to live as a submarine with their own voters. And on major elections, build an alliance with it around matters that both agree on.

Dems really think they're going to win by runninf a centrist campaign in non centrist areas. It's why the party is breaking at the seams. Every area has its own specific political spectrum, you csnt run in nyc the same you would in rural Georgia. Republicans understand this and get on code regardless of the candidate

other developed nations don't have a winner-take-all election model. If the US was like other countries, the Dems and GOP would be several different parties.

Our election system doesn't allow for 3 legitimate parties. Unless ranked choice voting gets implemented there will only be two mainstream parties.
