Basically if any modern car starts to skid a computer will take over to correct the skid preventing and accident. Vipers ain’t got that.

The driver was considered experienced as well and still killed everybody. The only upside to that is that the death was limited to 2 passengers. That car like most other super cars are designed to separate the chassis into 2 to prevent death by fire and when that happens the half of the car that holds the engine can take out another innocent bystander/car in the process

Yeah, those Vipers are known to produce way too much horsepower and torque. Looks like he punched it off the line and tried to get over to the other lane...NOPE!!!

In those cars, you open the throttle only with your wheels straight! Turning your wheels and trying to accelerate will almost always lead to this.

so you have a very like sports car making 400 ft lbs or torque. The tires they were on were the widest available but it wouldnt make a difference if you didnt regulate the throttle properly.


In the video you notice he did just fine in first gear but its always that 1-2 shift that catches people. If you already got momentum and with that enough torque you dont need to be on the gas like that once you shift to second . So once he got on the gas the ass end spins cuz he gave it too much gas when he could have just eased into it.
