DBZ fanboys will say Superman loses because Freeza can destroy a planet with his laser even though Superman can easily take a supernova blast and has stood up to Darksied
The hard truth is that 90% of the people that will post in this thread are DBZ fanboys and haven't read a comic in their life
Goku is obviously the better fighter considering his years of training. Superman hardly trains since he can easily take out most opponents. Goku's fighting speed, martial arts skills, and instant transmission will give Superman trouble.
Superman is incredibly strong and imo has the strength advantage. The truth is Wonder Woman is one of the few Earth heroes that can take on Superman (MMH, Flash, and Captain Atom being the other ones) but even then it's really close. Superman's heat vision and freeze breath can really damage and slow down Goku. Superman also hardly uses it, but it should be noted that Superman can phase and go intangible similarly to the Flash by vibrating his molecules.
This is a close fight, but in the end I think Superman takes it because he has more super powers to help him. If it were a straight physical fight with no powers, Goku MIGHT edge out based on his high martial arts skills

DBZ fans need to understand that just because Goku or Vegeta are capable of destroying a planet, it doesn't mean they're automatically the strongest. DC characters have ABSURD strength and durability feats.
DBZ fans were looking real shook when I showed them proof that Hyperion, who is a level or two below Superman, survived the destruction of his universe and was able to keep apart two planets from colliding until the planets exploded

It's really not. Power levels have changed drastically from every reboot. Superman was capable of feats like this Pre-Crsis
In the New 52 he's only this strong

Yeah it is. For the sake of the plot characters powers get tossed to the side. If every superhero was written to their full potential there wouldn't be anything to even read about.

If you can lift something infinitely heavy that means you're infinitely strong.
Force (ie. strength) equals mass times acceleration, so if Superman (whose mass obviously isn't infinite) can produce infinite force then he should be able to accelerate at an infinite speed if he wants to. So basically, going by the comics Superman is infinitely strong and infinitely fast.
Is the above stupid? Yes. Does it really make sense? No. Nonetheless, just based on the above you have to give the fight to Supes.
Blame it on bad comic book writers. Obviously Superman is way overpowered, but nonetheless he beats Goku.

it isn't absurd at all. that is the point of characters like batman and superman. they have no limits.
superman is as strong as the hurdle requires him to be. nothing is too heavy, no enemy too strong.
hence why he is superman.
