They missed the whole point of Superman.
Yes he may be invincible but he is ALWAYS handicapped in some way, shape or form. That's what makes him still relevant in the DC universe
Otherwise, Yes he would be overpowered but then he wouldn't really be Superman anymore.
The same goes for the Batman Vs Superman argument.
Superman the Hero would never kill Batman because that's not the character of Superman.
Batman would never kill Superman because Batman doesn't kill. And if he did well then he wouldn't be "Batman" anymore.
So your left with Goku who is a mortal and has to train for his strength

Superman who is basically immortal and has limitless power that requires no training.
If you're looking at it from a strictly "abilities" standpoint than someone who is a God with unlimited power will beat someone who is mortal with limited power obviously.
But as we know Superman always holds back, is easily outsmarted, and has weaknesses.
My final word would be this.
Instead of stacking their strengths, stack their weaknesses.
Given a scenario where Goku had access to all of Superman's weaknesses and Supes had access to all of Goku's.
Goku would win hands..
