lmao at nikkas believing BERMAN now
so desperate
Berman does seem to have a source on the coaching staff, but even then I doubt the FO trade's RJ. I keep telling ya'll I don't think this trade happens unless the Jazz switches up their ask significantly. Last we heard Ainge wanted RJ and 6 picks.

:comeon:
Knicks got the kind of assets that FO looking to improve doesn't have to get desperate. They can wait for a better deal or a better player.

The Knicks offer according to shams:

New York made a recent offer of Evan Fournier, Obi Toppin, additional salary and two unprotected first-round draft picks (five total), league sources tell me and The Athletic’s Tony Jones.

Rose sticking to his guns, I’d hate to see obi go but that’s an offer I can live with.

It makes sense. 3 protected, two unprotected, for 5 total is a fair price

Ngl figured Obi would moat likely be the one out because of the Melo rumors though.
Not just that Thibs plays Randle heavy minutes. Obi is the most expendable unfortunately. On the low Rose is that matching salary

Brunson/IQ/McBride
Donovan/Grimes/McBride
RJ/Reddish/Melo
Randle/Melo/Reddish
Mitch/IHart/Sims

Cleans up most the roster glut and they still have pieces in case of injury and/or to trade for another player.

Yeah, that dinner meeting always seemed to signal one of our PF's was on the block. I hoped it was Randle, but realistically Obi always made more sense since he has positive trade value.

Yeah, this makes a lot of sense even though the Obi aspect pains me. If they won't move off Randle, then Obi's not gonna see the minutes he should. Fournier out, makes space for Cam in the rotation. IQ and Grimes stick around and I could imagine this scenario including Derrick Rose to a third team for another asset to Utah that sweetens the deal. Ainge wants even more, but I'm hard pressed to see where he's finding a better offer that fits Utah's needs and wants.
