Only in NY does a guy average 20/10/5 and the league sees him as negative value

They think they can rehabilitate him. Right now, they could probably find someone to give him away to but not with much compensation. A more successful season for the team next year would pump that compensation a bit. I'm just not sure whether the plan is to really pump his value and deal him or if they're still hoping they can win with him. I don't think he makes any sense in a line-up with Brunson, Mitchell, and RJ...not enough defense from 1-4 and the spacing is sketchy.

So explain why nobody wants Randle then?

And you can’t just talk numbers and that’s it it’s more to it then just numbers thats why teams like the Knicks get in trouble giving a guy the bag when he’s not worth it

The dude is a clown and a crybaby who wants to initiate the offense like he’s fukkin LeBron James

If we end up losing Obi to this situation I'm gonna be extremely disappointed in the FO. All because of either Randle's low trade value or blind loyalty to a player that doesn't fit with the team & has character issues. Obi's ready & has earned his right to play more minutes

It would be a lot of disgruntled fans and put even more pressure on D Mitch and Brunson to outperform and make up for Randle. It's too big of a risk to try and get Mitchell if Randle is still here. This would be the worse trade in Knicks history if they don't make it pass the 2nd round in the eastern conference.

I lowkey feel like he's a worse player than Russ or Simmons because Russ doesn't mind sitting and Simmons is and elite passer with a low turnover ratio.
