The championship would be a interesting game. Portland legit beat them last time playing tough zone defense, with some man-to-man thrown in. They have some time to prepare so I hope they figure it out.

It’s ridiculous how that defense just completely stops the Knick’s offense and the coaches can’t figure out how to adjust.

In hindsight yeah, but since this front office has taken over they have made better picks. Even traded back to get guys like Grimes, IQ, McBride.

They finally have a competent front office. Draft assets, and young players. Even in this year's draft they tried to trade up, but Detroit wasn't having it. All those bad picks were because they were trying to win right away.

I hope they don't trade thier future away for 1 player. He is not worth all our best drafted players (only thing they have done right recently), and 6 picks?

There really isn't going to be much available in free agency, so I see why they are being aggressive. 4 first and 2 young players, but they have to take Fournier (or Randle :sadcam:)
4 first, 2 youth and a mix of vets (or hopefully just Randle) is a fair trade.:ehh:

:yeshrug:Then they got to figure out that munchkin backcourt.

A reasonable trade would leave them the assets needed to do it.

what kind of dumb question is this? look at my avi even...there are plenty

klay
dray
steph

not a single in the top 5

giannis
kawhi
jokic
paul george
gobert

yall franchise buying into hype and not having any ability to develop players is why yall always gon be shyt
I'm hoping we develop like the warriors but part that is Steph being such a great leader. Even behind the scenes, people just wanna be great and learn from him.

We don't have that yet.

Asking price for Donovan is getting way to fukkin steep.

I would rather hold onto all of our assets for if/when Zion wants out.

I’m very happy/content going into the season with our current roster (obviously not randle), I seriously think without or without Donovan we’re a 7-10 seed team.
100% agree. Other teams see the potential and want it.

Donovan really is underrated at this point :francis:

Narrator called him the basketball version of Barry Sanders

Really shows the evolution in his game from rookie year. His quickness, agility, shiftiness combined with his strength and ball handling is insane to guard downhill or in isolation and he is a great shooter.

If we get him we need to ship Randle out as soon as possible.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Honestly, if he trade for Mitchell without having to give up Barrett, how is that going to work?

Is Barrett going to move to the 3? You just signed Bronson, and he plays the same position as Mitchell. So is Mitchell going to be the off guard?

Julius Randle? What happens to him? His shots will definitely decrease. His entire role in the offense would diminish. They would have to find a way to move on from him as well.

Basically, no matter how you slice it, trading for Mitchell would drastically change the dynamic of the team. And would it even be the right fit for Thibs? Wasn’t he with the Wolves when they traded away Lavine for Butler? He couldn’t make that work.

This team is all over the place with no real direction. Giving up all those draft picks may also come back to bite them. Even if it’s just the final year. That one pick my cause then to miss out.

If I’m the Knicks, I’m falling back. They should’ve tried to get Halliburton last year. The Pacers at least traded for someone on their rookie deal.

Barrett played the 3 last year next to Burks and Fournier in the backcourt.

Mitchell and Brunson will both be on and off the ball sharing those responsibilities they have both played those roles in their careers. They should be very dynamic offensively as they are two of the shiftiest players in the league. It’s similar to our I.Q. and D-Rose bench line-ups in that one is rangy as hell and the other is a beast from floater range.

U would hope Julius reverts to a more stat stuffing, team oriented role where his emphasis is not necessarily scoring but rebounding, defending, playmaking, screening. If he just cuts out all the isolations and focuses on getting down hill and hitting his open threes just playing off the guards and playing reactive with his passing. Hopefully we can increase his value and trade him after we flame out in year one.

Between Brunson, Barrett and Mitchell, they all would have to sacrifice or at least one of them. Will Barrett’s progression diminish?

Randle:snoop: his value is already diminished and the Knicks overpaid to keep him. But they had no choice I suppose.

I don’t trust Thibs either. If they trade for Mitchell, I would rather they get a new coach.

Barrett should be Joe Ingles on steroids like I said.

He don’t need to be chucking or playing hero ball. He is not on Brunson or Mitchell’s level as a creator.

Focus on being a 3&D guy and tertiary playmaker he should be eating more in transition next year too.
