Watched the first two eps of s3. The meta-ness they have going on is kind if annoying and they are running it into the ground.

Blair Underwood is pretty good though.
I'm 5 episodes deep and it just seems too unfocused and too full of itself if that makes sense. Way too much of the new gay guy too. He's extremely annoying.

So they’ve flipped this shyt into white people= Good and ALWAYS tell the truth and Black people= Bill Cosby:stopitslime:

This shyt literally ends with a black man looking a white woman in the face and telling her he’s sorry.

fukk this show. Never watching again

did you not watch the OG Movie? cause you should have seen this coming. It was the same thing. you can't trust these Black hollywood male homosexual directors. they all have a white man fetish. they will always do this.

No i didn’t see the OG movie. I did watch the first two seasons and was mildly entertained enough to watch the third.

The fact of the matter is that me personally, i’m starved for black content. Atlanta isn’t on this year. Insecure isn’t on this year. Grown-ish is nothing more than diet Different World, and she’s gotta have it just got cancelled.

I’m not gonna bash black homosexual directors, i’m not trying to bash ANY black creative that is lucky enough to get some goddamn black faces on my television screen. But the message of this third season doesn’t sit right with me. This shyt is written, directed, and produced by BLACK PEOPLE and i’m STILL being inundated with white people’s victimization. fukk THAT. I do not CARE about exploring the supposed problems of our historical oppressors. Ima spoiler the major issue I have for those still watching

Blair Underwood’s character is a respected and well liked, “pro-black” (in a gentleman’s way, non militant) professor. He gets his Cosby on and sexually assaults one of the white students so the all black student caucus bands together to take him down

At the the end of the day the victimization of a white character, in a show called DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, which supposedly calls out the hypocrisy of white’s claiming victimization at the hands of the black minority, is given paramount importance. I WILL NOT rock with that.

I hear you, thats the reason i watched the OG movie back when it came out. but it ended with some complete BULLshyt. the main Black male character being gay wasn't the problem, it was him having to fukk his white boss or mentor or whatever he was(can't even remember). also, the main Black woman character the pro Black lead was dating a WHITE DUDE :wtf: and at the end of the movie he was made out to be the hero while Black folks needed to chill.

so I knew the show was gonna be on some bullshyt.

as far as the Black Homosexual directors thing goes, I'm only speaking of the males. from Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry, and this guy, the guy directing that "slave play" in New york thats LITERALLY CALLED SLAVE PLAY, they always on some bullshyt. theres a reason why they keep getting these projects funded.
