...that he initially put off, but was convinced by to take advantage by Troy. Even then, he was uncomfortable/bored with that after awhile. shyt ain't in his DNA to let loose. Smoking to take the militant edge off. Settling with Joelle cuz he got curved by her best friend. :mjlol:

getting with joelle isn't settling. she looks better than sam. plus he'd never be able to reconcile being with her when she's fukking the :bryan: and his boy troy already fukked her when they were freshman anyways.

Just finished the season...

Ummm No I want them to be consistent with their own logic and not be hypocrites.

Gabe was rewarded in the end... he is redeemed and he gets the girl. Let's not stop there.. There's Kurt who was a full blown racist last season... all of his actions from the past season are seemingly brushed under the rug. He went from a white racist caricature to being humanized by the end of season 2.. Compare that to Trevor who is turned into a flat one note stereotype by the end of the episode, humilated, assaulted and we never hear ffrom him again.

You can't justify his treatment and assault at the end of the episode when for one... the character who assaulted him [Reggie] just a few episodes back is given a long drawn out scene where the dean makes it clear that he must not 'stoop' to physical violence when he spots the security guard that humiliated him. and 2... someone like Kurt is made reasonable and redemable despite his harmful actions.

This is a show known for it's message... so WTF type of message are they sending here? That it's OK to assault black folks with differing extreme views but that we must reason and be with white people who mock and commit harmful actions towards black folks....
I think your best argument here is with Kurt. The season would have been better served exploring his turnaround from villain to reformed racist. I think the importance of exploring the new alt-right villain in the age of Trump was deemed paramount... There is a difference between Kurt and Silvio's villainy, one that supercedes actual race, and it was glossed over.

Trevor was dismissed as quickly and easily as Kurt was in season 1... The only difference is that Trevor was never going to be a consistent threat the way Pastiche was. Also, Kurt played his games intelligently... He never was on enemy turf and smugly declaring people he didn't know as fags, whores and the like. His positives were displayed early but what does it matter when your belief system is flawed? You want him fleshed out the way other flawed characters (Kurt, Sylvio, Dear Right People) aren't.

This is why I say it's a slant. He blatantly attacked the characters that are meant to be the heroes in a similar way that white characters attacked them, but you want them to flesh his character because what... You feel the white characters were rewarded? I'm wondering what realistic way you think this should have went. The nikka tried to play Joelle when Reggie was figuring out his feelings for her...I would've been mad if Reggie didn't sock his jaw.
