All these MCU stans care about is what made a billion and what got a positive RT score. nikkas was saying who cares about Spider Verse getting an Oscar, AN OSCAR! Y'all a bunch of Milhouses begging to go to fireworks factory:hhh:

Many people don't care about Oscars. You see the ratings for the award show are trending down. It really doesn't mean anything to me.

Sony took a Venom movie to damn near a Billi and you guys are wondering why they feel they can survive this? Nobody....not even the Biggest Box Office Analyst thought that would be possible for a Non-Spidey Venom solo film. Matter a fact a lot of people thought "Venom" was gonna flop. Those numbers are HUGE because there was no Spiderman in the movie. Now imagine "Spiderman Vs Venom" that's a lock for huge numbers. Yes some people didn't like the movie but that has no relevance on the Box Office Success it had. "Venom" outgrossed every Phase 1 Marvel movie but "Avengers" globally.

Sony will take everything they soaked up from Disney, realizing great storylines will carry the universe. They have multiple examples now from the video game and SpiderVerse of how to tell a good Spiderman story. Can anybody honestly say Disney did that in either of its two chances? I'd say they were putting poison pills into Spiderman just in case they did decide to pull out. Making Tony so engrained in Spidermans story, revealing the identity. All the new Sony films have to do is reject everything Marvel tried to force on Spiderman fans that we hated. Make him acknowledge he looked up to Tony because he was desperate to fill the void left by Uncle Ben. Throw that bullshyt tech suit in the trash because Spiderman don't need no friggin tech:wow:. Find a way to get out of that identity revel nonsense that Marvel tried to pull to sabatogue the character.

In the United States, Spider-Man sold 3.3 million units—including those bundled with the PS4 console—in its first three days of release, making it the fastest-selling first-party video game release in Sony's history, narrowly beating another PS4 exclusive God of War's 3.1 million sold in May 2018. USA Today estimated the game made at least $198 million during this period, surpassing the $117 million North-American opening-weekend box office take of the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming,

I thought both MCU flicks were straight but they weren't seeing Spidey 1 or 2 from the OG Toby years. I also think Spidey-verse was better as well. My only beef is like you said that the MCU was trying to make him too much like "Iron Man Jr/Iron Boy". Spidey is huge, he can literally stand on his own. Spidey is WAY BIGGER than Iron Man in the comic world. They basically made him Tony's surrogate Son as you said to replace Uncle Ben. I also didn't like how the iron suits (Instead of his Spidey Sense) was the driving force in "Homecoming". Now Sony has been far from perfect. Spidey 3 was a damn mess and so was TASM 2. But I think they realize with Tom Hardy knocking it out the park with Venom they can really do a full blown Spidey Universe. It was ridiculous that they literally forgot to use the Spidey Sense in the entire "Homecoming" Film. I loved the cafeteria scene from the OG.

He's his own franchise, unless they are going to move him out of Wakanda to America. The Avengers still need a leader, they are lost without Tony:wow:

And Ironman wasn't it's own franchise?! :mjlol:
They got the internet and like Spaceships in Wakanda so I'm sure he can make it work. :stopitslime:

Kevin Feige Reportedly Helped Sony With VENOM And More Of Their Marvel Movies
170122.jpg

All signs are pointing to Marvel Studios' relationship with Sony Pictures being at an end. However, a new report reveals that Kevin Feige has been helping them with their Marvel movies for a while now...

Unless something drastic happens in the coming weeks, Spider-Man's time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has reached its end. However, with multiple reports doing the rounds about what comes next, some very interesting new details have been revealed about Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige's involvement in Sony Pictures' Marvel movies.

Buried in Deadline's report about the split is the fact that Feige "lent an unofficial hand" to Venom, but that reportedly happened long before the final cut was delivered.

Instead, it was Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman who "spent a good long time in the editing room" and, well, he was also in charge of Fox when those changes to Deadpool were made in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and for the release of the Fantastic Four reboot in 2015. That probably explains why Venom received a critical mauling when it hit theaters last October.

io9 also notes that Feige has contributed to a number of Sony/Marvel movies without being credited, so there's a chance he played a role in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse too. It's hard to say.

What are you guys hoping comes next for Spider-Man?
