I saw someone else say that too. Bob Iger just basically expressed buyer's remorse for buying Fox, ain't no way they buying Sony too at least not in the near future.

People forget Disney took a 70 billion dollar hit and all the FOX movies have flopped.

That wasn't buyers remorse. That was cover to cancel all that fox shyt and to publisize those losses for tax purposes. They knew that Phoenix movie was gonna flop before they bought fox.

The purpose for buying fox was to sure up the streaming service library.

The animated studio is completely separate from the live action studio. They were left alone to make spiderverse which is why it turned out incredible. You can bet every penny you have that the studio execs will stick their fingers into every aspect of the next one after its success. I do not trust them to not fukk up a success

I don’t blame Marvel. And shyt like this is exactly why. It’s a huge liability to try to make Spider-Man the cornerstone of the next phase of Marvel films when Sony can fukk their plans up at the drop of a hat. Why invest further into that character if you don’t own the rights outright or at least have an equal partnership? Especially when they’re about to pour billions of dollars into setting up the next mega film. Imagine if someone could’ve taken the Captain America character at any time from 2012 to 2016. It would’ve fukked all those movies up.
