Spence would fukk Canelo up imo.

Just imagine a southpaw version of GGG that is quicker and at his physical peak, getting to Canelo's body while pressuring him behind hard jabs and lefts.

Only way Canelo wins is if he catches dude with something serious that Spence can't recover from
Some of those shots Brook slapping ass had Spence drowsy out there; Canelo could dent spence......Off syle Spence is kind of tailor made of Canelo style a he doesn't have a commanding stick and jab, like a Golovkin

True, GGG jab is better than Spence, but that's not fair to Spence since Golovkin got one of the best jabs in boxing now.

Canelo has his size and punching sharpness going for him in this fight, but I don't think Spence would be spooked by that enough to not go to the body which could really help him in this match up.

Brook could have done some real damage if he would have sat down on some of those shots. You could tell he was bothering Spence with his offense, but he never took it to another level and allowed Spence to get momentum.

Go to the body vs a expert shoulder roller expert to be countered up top.....I think Spence could pull it off but he needs another year, I dont forget the masterclass Brook was showing before his eye wilted

I like Spence but since he only fought one name thats what I gauge him by

Off eye Brook had a far easier time doing what he wanted to do with Spence, rather than Porter thats before the preexisting eye injury came into play.....Facts

you can work the body against someone using the shoulder roll. You just gotta go in with angles so you can get around the the spots he's protecting with his elbows and forearms.

Spence getting a lil more seasoning against more top opponents wouldn't hurt. Agreed on that.

Canelo could dent spence......
he could. but he'd still punch in spurts and rest on the ropes a lot too. thats when spence would go to work and be a lot more aggressive than a very cautious golovkin was. he'd need to get spence out of there, because that pattern of being on the ropes and trying to rest for long periods of a round are just going to invite spence to go to work on him. its a difference of temperament. golovkin was cautious. spence is more ferocious. canelo would feel those rounds start to catch up to him.

Yeah I think it will be a big fight still, but I think Spence name is rising and Canelos is falling. If GGG destroys him, I think his brand takes a permanent L. Honestly I think Oscar and Canelo have really fukked up his brand already. By the time Spence and Canelo meet Spence might possibly be the A side.

Spence is in a really rare position. Everything lines up for him to be top dog this generation. He can fight anyone from 147-160, the top dog Canelo is on his way out, Mayweather is gone, and he has a dedicated fan base. Hes young, talented and hasn't even fulfilled his limitless potential. Most fighters have to work there way up through years of winning belts at lower weight classes by the time they reach Welterweight and are ready for the super fights. Crawford, Mikey G, Danny G, etc all had to do that. Spence however doesn't have to do that, which means he still has a shyt ton of mileage on him. Spence truly would have to fukk up for him to not be the king..the crown is literally waiting for him.
What I find most amazing is when he was calling out Keith Thurman and Thurman was trying him like he’s some little n***a and now would be b-side if he wanted that fight.

Unless he goes through some sort of personality change like Floyd did how exactly do you think Spence is going to attract mainstream casual attention?
Embrace being a part of pop culture as most boxers do not. Do the radio tours, make appearances at various events where photogs are heavy. Kick it with the stars is very important because by association they bring their fans over. Make movie cameos, etc. People are subconsciously drawn to face recognition.

No homo but with the advent of instagram these boxers should have went the Tank/Trey Songz route and just be the pretty boy sex symbol to get the thirsty female fans.
Women by large aren’t buying PPVs. They can help to convince their bfs, though.

I'm not a Thurman fan at all. He spent a few years calling out Floyd Mayweather jr on the edge of retirement, just bc he wanted that big early pay day, his two toughest fights were very close and he's done everything he can to avoid rematches with either guy, and he's allowed a young inexperienced fighter punk him for the last 3 years. What kind of the fight game bullshyt is that? Thurman is the 3rd or 4th best fighter in his class nowadays, a class he was supposed to rule 3 years ago. I'm not fan of big mouth fighters who try to hustle the fight game for quick, easy pay days. Thurman is not willing to be the man of his class bc he's too scared to lose...he can KIM :camby:

i highly doubt thurman would be the b side in a fight against spence..the only welter i would see that happening against is manny pacquiao. and thats for a variety of reasons

spence is good but i cant put him above thurman without one more top notch victory at welterweight

i also dont understand anyone who saw a close fight between thurman vs swift...thurman won a mininum of 8 clear rounds in that dull fight....whereas thurman vs porter was a war and was legit close and id love to be in the house for the rematch like i was for the first fight

Caneloweight/160+ lb plus Canelo is losing to never fought above 154 Spence :dahell: do y'all think before you type? Canelo is a better technical boxer and they punch pretty evenly. Both have solid chins. Why would you pick Spence?

I think Spence lands enough body shots by round 8 to eviserate Canelo's stamina..round 10th I can see Canelo getting dropped a couple of times.
:dwillhuh: But Canelo's never been knocked down. He fought the hardest puncher at 160 and didn't get dropped, but Spence will drop him multiple times?! Any logic behind this?

Logic is Spence is more relentless and wont change his style up like GGG did and Canelo gets tired..body work was always the key to beating him.

Even is Canelo is somewhat successful first 5 half of the fught..he wont hold up.
