It's not about Snyder or Feige. Most people going to Marvel movies know that they've been interconnected since 2008 with Iron Man.

Most people look at these Snyder remnant DC characters with the same actors as part of the same universe no matter how much some people want to wash that away. A lot of people actually care about continuity. And more casual fans are confused if you tell them that no no Aquaman isn't from that same world as Justice League even though it's the same actor and nothing has been established on film to suggest it's some new reality.
regular folks don't care that much
We just saw a Spiderman movie with 3 Spiderman from 3 different 'verses' and everyone loved it
Batman 89 is now the main Batman for the DCEU and folks are going to go crazy when he pops up on screen and that movie will also have Batfleck in it
Professor X from the Fox Universe is about to show up in the MCU and folks can't wait
Mamoa and Gadot can keep playing Aquaman and WW with new actors coming in for the other roles and no one will really care because folks like them

The DCAU was the formula but WB/DC didn't follow it for their live-action films for some reason.

Correct. It's typically because of the arrogance of studio execs who feel they know best as far as these things go. They gave their burgeoning universe to a guy who said Batman would be raped in prison in his movie, unceremoniously killed off a character like Jimmy Olsen as an after thought, had Robin dikk Grayson die without ever appearing in a movie, etc. It was obvious that he had little respect, or understanding of the source material and would warp it into his flawed "vision". Unfortunately, it played out as I feared it would when I first read that he had been given the keys to the kingdom.

There is a reason that Marvel is where it is, and DC is where it is. You can say regular folks don't care and that's true - to an extent. "Regular folks" should have pushed BVS (first appearance of Batman, Superman in the same movie along with WW) and JL to Marvel heights. Even "regular people" could see that those movies were flawed - due to a lack of vision on the part of the studio. It's disgrace that BVS, JL didn't do Avengers numbers. Two out of the three biggest superheroes in history in the same movie, in an era that is the friendliest for superhero movies ever. That is solely because of WB's fukk ups. The biggest one putting Zach Snyder in charge.

We don't know how Flash will do, but it's funny that the DC movie you're pointing to is allegedly running away (pun intended) from what Snyder did.

Finally, this thread is about them saying they're "overhauling" DC entertainment. A studio doesn't just do that if they're satisfied with the direction of the movies and how the "regular folks" are receiving them.

The fact that they are using the Flash to run away from the Snyderverse proves the point that they can use the same actors to do it.
Regular folks still got BVS to over $800 Million dollars at the BO and it was a bad movie
Those same folks got Aquaman 1 to over a billion dollars
Those same folks got Joker to over a billion dollars
The Batman just hit $800 million
Those movies didn't not share the same "vision", they were just good movies and in the end thats all that matters.

Yeah and to add to that.. Joker was one of the most profitable movies in recent history.

This idea that WB/DC need to listen to anyone in the Film room about how to conduct their business is truly embarrassing to read...

The Film room is starting to remind me of the Booth where posters are so out of touch with reality and continue to parrot the same discussions that were hatched 6-7 years ago or more... that have no relevance to today..

That's how :flabbynsick: some of these threads are... You can prove these people wrong all day long and they just cont. on with the same old tired narratives :mjlol:

1. Joker is a standalone movie. Has nothing to do with the conversation on the DCEU, which is what people are discussing as far as where WB has screwed up so much that they are running away from it now.

2. No one is suggesting, or thinks that WB/DC would listen to anyone on some random message board about what to do with their movies. They are simply expressing their opinions on theses films, as is the PURPOSE of, you know, the FILM Room. Talk about out of touch. Who the hell thinks WB is scouring TheColi for tips on what direction they should go in?
:mjlol:

3. Yes, it is crazy that some people are upset that people point out that the DCEU has been an overall failure, despite some exceptions here and there like Aquaman and WW. Hence why BVS, JL underperformed when they should have done Avengers numbers, and hence why DC wants to overhaul its film strategy. You don't do that when you're pleased with the results, like why Disney isn't looking to overahul the MCU. I mean, you got people pointing out that BVS made 800 mil as if it's somehow impressive that the first movie with Batman and Superman together, with WW and cameos from other JL members did less than a billy. :mjlol:

Thats's how :wow: some of these posters are. For some reason upset that people come in with a difference of opinion on these things. Embarrassing.

Oh, and since smilies I guess enhance a point

I would start with a
Plastic man movie
Zatana film
Mister terrific the real one not that wussy from the CW
Power girl film
Booster gold film

Make a JSA movie out of that where they fight against granny goodness that still has big Barda and mr. Miracle on the team and then they can branch off to different parts of the dcu

It doesn't have to be a new reality or a new world just because Battfleck or Wonder Woman isn't popping up in the new Aquaman movie to make references about fighting Darkseid.
