Dre having a team of producers has always been exaggeration. He has co-producers because he doesn't play instruments. He has keyboardist come in play keys, who are often credited as co-producers.

Using this logic is weird to me. Do you really think Quik plays everything on his songs? If the keyboardists/etc get co-production credit BEST BELIEVE they probably contributed quite a bit.

You don't have to contribute a whole lot to be a co-producer. You simply have to contribute something. The fact that keyboardists and bass players are credited as co-producers on Dre tracks puts the whole "ghost producer" narrative to bed. Why? Musicians are normally just paid a fee and don't get co-production credits, which means they don't get royalties. They are credited with whatever instruments they contributed, but they aren't credited as writers like a producer or co-producer is.

I believe Daz, Warren G etc made the beats, yes, but Dre mixed it and "fine tune'd" it while getting full production credit.
So i partly believe Suge on that.

But for him to say Pac and Dre never was in the studio together is bogus. There's pictures of that

BIG MISTAKE TO BELIEVE DRE ISNT THE GOAT WHO DID IT ALL FROM INCEPTION TO COMPLETION

Everyone called Dre a fruit ball from Eazy To Pac, DJ Quik engineered the drums on In Da Club and who knows what else other guys produced that was supposed to be Dre’s stuff. There might be ghost producers involved in some of his stuff.

DRE IS THE ONE WHO GHOST PRODUCES FOR OTHERS

THE ONLY CUT NOT PRODUCED BY QUIK ON A QUIK ALBUM WAS PUT IT ON ME PRODUCED BY DRE

QUIK ALSO SAID DRE GHOST PRODUCED “ADDICTIVE” FOR HIM

DRE THE GOAT

And legit co producers on his projects fizzled out or never had the same kind of success as when working with Dre with the exception of Scott Storch.

Yella - Quit music and became a porn producer
Mel-Man - Where is he now?
Daz - early success, but eventually fizzled out
Warren G - early success but eventually fizzled out

Meanwhile Dre just kept finding success with game changing artists like 50 and Em when he left death row.

I don’t get the hate for Dre on this site.

That’s not to do with his production though but his vision as a Ceo and his affiliation with Jimmy Iovine. How can you credit hun for 50 cent success when 50 was buzzing before he met him, had like 3 tracks of his produced by Dre on his first album and was signed to the biggest rapper in the world?

Warren G can be just as talented as Dre and still not attain the level of success because of business savvy and key connections, it’s like some people think talent is all what it takes, it isn’t.

Suge is telling half truths. Daz DID ghost-produce some songs on the album (Aint no fun, nikkaz and bytches, and Serial Killa), but he didn't produce the whole album by himself, and he didn't willingly sign paperwork to have his credit go to Dre.

Sam Sneed confirmed that Dre was involved in some capacity

DX: How much of Doggystyle did you produce?

Sam Sneed: I just really brought skits to the table. I really didn’t produce anything. Like, the intro to Snoop [Doggy Dogg]’s album, that was my idea. And then the one [skit before “Pump Pump”] where I said “fukk you bytch, I’m Sam Sneed.” That was just something [where] we was just freestyling in the studio. And then I gave Dre the records to “[Gz] Up, Hoz Down.” Yeah, I gave him a record… I was just throwing little ideas [at him], but Dre and a couple other producers really worked that album out.

BRINGING IN SAMPLES AND SKELETON BEATS AINT GHOST-PRODUCING

Only beats that sound like Dre's signature sound on Doggystyle is G funk intro, The Shiznit, Whats my Name, Gz and Hustlas. Everything else was Daz/ Warren G

Dre adds his touches to make the beats stand out more but I think Daz came up with the actual beats.
The Shiznit sounds like Daz. On the other hand, I'd say Gin 'n Juice is vintage Dre. Dre tended to be more sample based while Daz was mostly keyboards.

This^^

Also in the Aftermath area, Mell Man and Scott Storch made the beats and Dre mixed and refined them. This has pretty much been the Dre method of producing, but also this is how a lot of non-hip-hop beats are made. In most genres outside of hip-hop, the producer doesn''t create the instrumentals by themselves.

LOL DRE DOES FARRRRR MORE THAN MIX AND ITS NUTS THAT PEOPLE TRULY BELIEVE THIS

You said that like Daz was some schmuck producer

UR CALLIN THIS A REVELATION?

LMAOOOO

DAZ HIMSELF JUST CAME OUT N DEBUNKED THIS NONSENSE

DRE IS THE ONE WHO GHOST PRODUCED FOR DAZ, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND
