Integration never suggestion that we couldn't stand on our own. Integration was about co-existing. Integration isn't something "they" did or even wanted, it was something that MLK and other leaders fought and died for. It wasn't about giving someone a bone.

Us fighting amongst each other has nothing to do with integration and everything to do with certain seeds that were planted during slavery.
You're aware that "I Have A Dream" speech was in 1963 and he changed his tune before his death in 1968? Cacs control his narrative to keep us docile and obedient. That nonviolence shyt wasnt working and we were still whipping posts so he was preaching to hell with cacs and become less reliant on cacs. But they don't want us to know that.

It's not about working for, tap dancing, and bowing down to whitey. Sure there are those of us who figure that doing that will get them further. That within itself is a problem. What should be understood is that we can work with them without submitting to them. I'm not talking about giving up integrity and self-worth to work with them, but keeping our history, pride, and identity in tact. If they don't want to work with us, then call them on it and make it known that we can move forward without them.

We don't need a nation within a nation. That would be slap in the face to our ancestors who built this one. What we need is to change the power structure of this nation because it's the only part of building this nation that didn't get our input. We need more of us in every level of government. There needs to be more of us writing laws that combat racism at every level. We need more Black Panthers that are really out here policing the police.
There's a job waiting for you at Fox News.

He didn't change his tune:

"Midway through the Civil Rights movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. realized that the struggle for integration would ultimately become a struggle for economic rights. I remember the last time we were together, at my home, shortly before he was murdered. He seemed quite agitated and preoccupied, and I asked him what the problem was. "I've come upon something that disturbs me deeply," he said. "We have fought hard and long for integration, as I believe we should have, and I know that we will win. But I've come to believe we're integrating into a burning house.'"

We all know that America is a burning house because of all the things that come along with racism. It still doesn't subtract from MLK believing we should have fought to integrate.

Harry Belofonte also says something else that's very relevant to the discussion:

"I would like to see black America honestly examine where we are at this point in history. We must stop relying on Democrats or Republicans or institutions that oppress us, and take responsibility for ourselves. Whenever we've stepped out to assume responsibility for our future, we've succeeded in our mission. White America didn't give us the gains we've made. Through various movements we went out and fought for our liberation and made ourselves a better people, and the world a better place. I am far from disillusioned. Deep in my soul, I know there are more Rosa Parks, more Dr. Kings, and more Ella Bakers ready to emerge. Perhaps we are the firefighters who can save the burning house. Martin would have embraced such a thought."

Just like 80% of the black population wasn't down with the civil rights movement.... The majority of today's black population does not want to hear positive black music... or anything with some real substance to it.... Not For Real
