Yo, I always tell ppl to think about the progress lost due to crack. The entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, scientists,.....just all that. No telling what could have became of ALL the black lives lost just from that epidemic alone. If there was no crack I could only imagine our evolution. I truly think that black ppl might be on another level now.......
Yeah it's sad breh. Moms would always tell me right before the crack era hit, that although people were poor there was unity and the people stuck together. Violence wasn't over the top, the people who did do drugs, did it in private. There were codes to the streets like Banner mentioned. Crack changed everything

great vid....been a fan of banner since the beginning, still am.....and I whole heartedly agree with integration being the worst thing that happened to us (blacks), have said that shyt for years....

also, 1 thing I find stupid about the whole saying nikka/er(it's the same word meaning the same thing no matter how you spell it/say it) debate: how can white people be upset cause it's not ok for them to publicly say a word that they initially used/created as to label us in a demeaning/evil/hurtful/etc way...we weren't the ones that called ourselves ******/as in the beginning, it was yall...but now that yall cant openly say the shyt no more it's a problem, not fair, and they feel no one should say it....I don't even say the word, but get the fukk outta here with that bullshyt....but you know, it's a 'free' country and we have the freedom to speech, so i tell whites they can use it, they just better be wiling to take whatever repercussions from using it....

say what you want about VLAD but he is the only one who constantly gets information from people such as Jamar and Banner

he didn't edit nothing they said, he lets them talk and drop information

instead of asking the obvious question he asks the person for THEIR views

I wish more would do the same

I was feeling everything except when he said integration was worse than slavery :snoop:.

Probably not as bad but its up there. Integration pretty much left us with the worst quality of everything at least when we were segregated we looked after one another or actually gave a fukk. shyt turned us into our own worst enemy cutting each other throat just to get a decent way of living.

As a non-american I don't want to talk too much on this (for the reasons Banner expressed) but I'm on record for disagreeing in one thread about the whole "integration is worse than slavey" approach. But the way he presented it, I can't really argue with his logic.

"Out of the whole dictionary, we could've picked any word to call ourselves. We could've called ourselves Gods. But we chose to call ourselves nikkas. That's how much America beat us down" -David Banner

:blessed:

Breh spoked nothing but the truth. I can't think of ANY other group on Earth that call itself by a word born in hatred.

All in all a very powerful interview. Can't say that I ever listened that much to David Banner's music but his thoughts on social and racial issues are deep.

To be honest, with how the system is PURPOSELY setup, it wouldnt reach too many ears. This is why i always say that radio IS still relevant. Thats how u reach millions upon millions once every hour. Ignorant filth like Trap Queen, Flicka Da Wrist, and Coco gets that type of exposure. Positive, motivating and uplifting music from David Banner wouldnt be heard by a quarter of the people as a song like this does:

"shyt, I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can" -Jay-Z on Empire State of Mind

smh @ bragging about this when Yankee Global Enterprises are not paying him

the modern day rapper is a walking billboard head to toe, not even smart enough to brand their own stuff (tyga is the exception with his last kings line) but for the most part it's Moschino, Feragamo, Gucci, Armani, Fendi, Tom Ford, Prada, Chanel, Cartier, Louis V, Versace, Ralph (It ain't Ralph tho lol)
Don't forget tech bragging iPhone 2way pagers Nextel etc

Stupid nikkas man :snoop:

Just watched this entire vid in awe. Im speechless right now. One of the best clips ive EVER seen period. A shift is happening and we need more people with an influence/platform to speak like this. I specifically loved what he said about the "n word". I personally hate it and it shows how low our self-respect is. We have no culture. Right now our culture is represented by the ignorance of hiphop. This is a much needed clip and i challenge all of you to post it on your social media. We need wakening up.

Yep, the message is out there in higher frequencies than ever before and people are smartening up. That c00n shyt is bring challenged and more an more people are moving away from that shyt.

This was a dope video he made a lot of valid points. I hate the obsession that we as black people have with turn-up/ rachet culture. Its all people want to see and if you promote something else its seen as fake/hating by our young folks. :snoop:

you know why...cause it is all about being reckless and having as much fun and money with as little discipline as possible,.

Hip hop ain't even hip hop no more.

shyt is just product placement for large corporations.

Apple
Beats
Multiple liquor companies
Tobacco industries
Club/strip club owners

Edit: I forgot cars and designer clothes too :snoop:

Hip Hop just turned into techno with heavier drums and bass.
