Is it weird that it kinda sounded like he was pandering towards them alil.. almost like he was ‘cushioning’ his blows.. saying shyt like he ‘loves old school gays’, ‘he’s envious of their movement’ the ‘glory hole’ segment, his ‘tranny friends’
it was a lot of admiration and reverence moreso than criticism.. he wasn’t really going at them the way the thread making it seem.. I personally found him to be bit too complimentary towards them in efforts to buffer the ‘jokes’
But would those jokes hit though? Would they slap? What would they even be?There should be a trans comedian that does cisgender jokes just for the hell for it
I was thinking the same thingIs it weird that it kinda sounded like he was pandering towards them alil.. almost like he was ‘cushioning’ his blows.. saying shyt like he ‘loves old school gays’, ‘he’s envious of their movement’ the ‘glory hole’ segment, his ‘tranny friends’

Right. This felt kind of like him having a conversation with them as opposed to making fun of them for jokes. He's saying y'all are really shytting on other people while playing victim.
It's more social than funnyfukk all the social shyt is this funny? He’s last few specials have been bricks
Rich couldn't stop being funny if he tried lol, that's not the point I was getting at.
When you have mastered the craft to an extent, showing up and getting people to chuckle or even laugh out loud isn't the challenge anymore. The court jester was one of the few people who could criticize the king and the nobles without getting his head lopped off, because it was understood that he was there to point out absurdities and speak for the commoners perspective. So there is a deeper responsibility for a comic than just making people laugh. You have the cover to be brave and speak on the behalf of the unheard. You don't ever stop being funny , you just understand your purpose beyond being a fukking clown.
