I aint gon hold you after the intial hype of new Dave Chappelle wore off this Netflix batch was ehhhh overall. The only stuff I can remember off top was Juicy Smoolyay, Kevin Hart, LGBT car ride, and Iceberg Slim. His George Floyd thing was probably the most memorable but that was just a black man getting some shyt off his chest and not a comedy special.

We got 4 stand out bits out of 4 specials. :patrice:

I didn't get the feeling he was really dissing "the community". More so pointing out the power one group has while choosing what counts as offensive - something black people do not have the luxury of doing. Also pointing out how the feminist movement is completely backwards.
I agree with everything he said, what I'm saying is that he used to have the best racial nuanced comedy. He's so rich now that he really thinks regular black people give a damn about no damn LGBTQ or feminism.

In his world these things are huge, in everyday life it means nothing.

I don't think it was very funny. It was a little funny in spots. And I truly believe that if it was like that, then that's because that's how Dave wanted it. nikkas running in here talm'bout "It wasn't funny" like they made some grand observation, and as if that's all that it could and should have been. I would trust Dave's showmanship instincts better than some random Coli nikka. It was a very good performance. One he's been trending towards with some of his minor youtube specials and this seems like a continuation of those. It gets a thumbs up from me.

I think you’re reading it wrong. That whole special was about how LGTB is punching down on black people, women and society in general. That’s why he said he was negotiating the baby’s release. And called himself a feminist.

He told vicious jokes about all groups but the only ones who will actively cancel him are LGTB. He’s not worried about Space Jews.

The only part I didn’t like was how he tried to use his trans friend as a shield. The equivalent of an accused racist saying they have one black friend.

It’s very revealing how sensitive the world has become over the last 20 years. In a couple years this special might be completely pulled like all of Louis CK’s work, but for different historical reasons.

Peachy Dave is back.

Rip to the GOAT early to mid 2000s Killin Them Softly Chappelle.

Imagine being so rich and famous/out of touch that your most edgy material is dissing LGBTQ community.

There's always ALWAYS shades of genius even in this raspy voiced, terrible dressing older Chappelle

... But its never gonna be that 1 hour of bliss like 20 years ago.
Missed the point again. It was about privilege. Dave said it out loud. It was never about the alphabet people. "It was the whites". He said as soon as Blacks were making a point and had the white cornered, they changed their genders. LOLLLL That's fukking funnnny.

Didn’t the “fan” threaten his life?
