Dave was hinting at a lot of stuff in Bird Revelation.
It seemed like Dave wanted to say these rapes ain't the worst thing happening behind the scenes, there's something even far more sinister.....and we need to support the strong who come out to expose the evil

The shyt he was saying about #metoo in both specials, especially the 2nd, was powerful.
The whole thing about some of that shyt being buyer's remorse made a couple people in the crowd get quiet real fast, but it's true. I haven't settled down just yet, and my mom was saying some of this exact shyt recently, about how women need to realize that a lot of their best allies on this are going to be imperfect, but that making peace with that is necessary for change.
It was dope to hear Dave talk about that, and how the sensitivty of people these days is making good people that want to help stay on the sidelines for fear of catching a stray.
Also the way he addressed the criticism he got from the LGBT community was funny, honest, and yet he didn't apologize for his art or his craft. I thought he handled that perfectly.
Maybe it's the novelty factor, but I enjoyed this 2-piece more than the 2 earlier this year.
I think Equanimity is my favorite Chappelle special on Netflix.

And although Bird Revelation might not be as funny in a laugh out loud way, I think it's a super important piece of art and a powerful way to end 2017 and start 2018.
