I think you view this wrong. If you want to watch a movie or listen to an album do you hold yourself accountable or just do it?

Accountability is for things deep down you don't really want to do or find unpleasant and in the context we were discussing it was being held accountable by others.

If this is what you want then you're doing it on your own Accord. Nobody has to hold you accountable. If you're using tricks like having other people nag at you when you skip doing this because you view it as a chore how long are you going to last at it?

I'm always conscious of my goal and overall working towards it. If I don't feel like exercising a given day I don't. If I want pizza once a week I get it. There's still that mental awareness of staying on track overall. The only accountability I have is I daily or every other day step in a scale and if the number is off I make minor adjustments.
You doing a lot right now. What you trying to say and what it is, is not the same. I can love something and not be accountable. I can hate something and obviously not be accountable.

Desire and passion ain't enough without accountability.

they are rich as fukk.

I tell people this a lot and they feel some kinda way. You need $$$ to get big. Fast food is expensive and so is “healthy” food. You are not getting big off of a $1 burger from McDonalds. Cats are getting meals + nuggets and washing it down with deserts. That’s like $15 a meal right there and folks are doing this regularly.

at some point you gotta say fukk it. We all have cravings and you gotta refrain because the next day you feel like shyt and it’s not worth blowing a solid workout.
This is facts, when you got money, you can feed your vices

When I lost a lot of weight nobody held me accountable. Hell I didn't even tell anybody I just did it all on my own. People found out when they noticed the pounds fall off. I made a personal decision and from there it happened. If accountability is so important why didn't it factor into things there?

Desire is everything when it comes to losing and maintaining weight. Accountability to others is irrelevant. This is pretty much a binary choice either you want one or the other and you'll make that decision. Either I want to be in great shape more or I want the freedom to eat like shyt and do whatever. Once that choice is made I don't have to be held accountable because my results will speak for themselves.

Accountability comes into play when you're playing games with yourself trying to psyche yourself into doing this not when you live for doing it. People need others to hold them accountable because they casually want to lose weight or get in good shape but really they don't want to do it at the expense of giving up the freedom to eat like shyt. Those people aren't being honest about what they really want because when a human being deep down wants something they find a way to make it happen for themselves.

Lots of people casually want a better body but deep down aren't willing to make the sacrifice necessary to achieve it. So yeah they use those tricks in the short term to attept to stay on track. Long term that won't carry them the distance.

Big facts. :obama:

This is why most folks paying for "personal trainers" (and not coaches) look like absolute shyt and/or progess slow as hell. :francis:

Your diet is everything, I switched up my diet, my body looks good without even hitting the gym.

All I drink is water or black tea. I don't snack anymore, no cakes/cookies or chips. NO SNACKS, NO FAST FOOD. NO SUGARY DRINKS

Breakfast is oatmeal/healthy cereal (no sugary cereal)

Lunch : healthy Sandwich with a fruit.

Dinner: Rice/Potatoes/Pasta served with salad/ vegetables with healthy meat stew or grilled meat.

Gym accelerates the weightloss, but your diet has to be good. They say its 70% diet, 30% gym
Really the gym is irrelevant for weight loss. It takes far too much time and effort in the gym to counteract a bad diet. If you're morbidly obese then any physical activity is helpful early on due to the body weight carried but if you're moderately overweight to normal sized you'd have to spend an excessive amount of time in the gym to burn off just a calorically dense snack food that can be consumed in under a minute. That could cost you an hour in the gym to burn off.

Can't outwork a bad diet, but if you hone in the diet and get in the gym the weight will melt.

The gym and physical activity will give you more wiggle room in your diet, especially when social functions are concerned.

Summer can be tough to cut when you have a lot of social functions. One cookout can be your entire day's calorie limit. If you get in an intense game of basketball / soccer etc, you give yourself some room.

Well the other thing is that there is weight loss no body composition. You might lose the weight but then if you look like trash……
