You're right. It seems like we only focus on offense because our "hits" in the draft have mostly been on offense. Dak, Gallup, Zeke, Tyron, Zack.

But they've invested high draft picks on defense, they just haven't panned out.

2015 draft they started Byron/Gregory

2016 draft they took Jaylon/Maliek/Tapper with the 3 picks after Zeke.

2017 draft was defense with the first 3 picks. Taco, Awuzie, Lewis

2018 draft they went LVE in the first.

2019 they take Trysten with the first pick.

Out of those 10 picks, only Trysten, Jaylon, Lewis played today. And the last two are

They passed on better defensive players and in the draft.

They failed to keep the best players they do draft, and don’t know how to develop the ones that actually pan out.

We are talking about the roster out there today. The offense has over $78m committed while the defense has $41m.

The offense has more resources PERIOD.

The salary is irrelevant. The only reason more money has been spent on offense than defense is because the offensive draft picks and have panned out and the defensive picks for the most part haven't. None of that money you're talking about on offense came from players drafted outside of Dallas. The difference is most of those offensive picks have been successful and the defensive ones haven't. Thats the ONLY difference

They let Byron go who ended up getting $16maav while giving Amari $20m. Then followed that up by drafting a receiver.

They used the highest pick theve had in the draft in decades on a running back.

They havent invested in safety in how long?

I knew we was food this game because CLE was much better in the trenches on both sides.

Our only chance was that we had the superior QB.


The DL needs a major overhaul. We need two tackles (maybe 3) and a pass rusher.
