What's this game comparable to? I'm interested, but not if it's endless wandering with very little action.

I believe he meant that people should not expect it to be like COD or Battlefield, but there will be action from what has been shown so far.

its not a all out shooter/fps games, like CoD, Doom, Borderlands, Rage etc.

it's a game where you can go about completing objective through dialogue, through hacking, or shooter. There's also a huge melee aspect to it. The goal is not shooting your way to the end, it's role playing the way you would in real life, hence RPG not shooter.

thats why i tell people it's more like fallout or skyrim than anything else.

Regarding Compatibility and Upgrades on Next-Gen Consoles

“It will be running on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from the launch date, just as it will run on the current Xbox and the next Xbox from day one.


“It will look better on the next-generation consoles from day one. The technicalities behind it are a little bit different from what [the question] described, but probably no point in going into detail about that. And I can confirm this is not the final update. At some point we’re going to have a more robust update for the for the next-gens, which we’re planning to give free of charge to anybody who purchases the PS4 or Xbox One version, but in any case you will be able to play the game on the next-gens from the 19th of November when the game releases, and it will look better than on the next-gens from that moment.

It will a similar situation for games built for PS4 running better on a PS5: better framerates, resolution, loading times but that is about it.

It says clearly says "look better" yet you take that as better framerates, load times, etc.
There is also an audio conference found on reddit another poster posted a while back and other sources saying it will look better graphically but that is not the final update

I do not know if you are a PC gamer or not, but you can have the same graphic settings and make the game look better by increasing the resolution. I am not trying to shyt on the PS5, i am only trying to lower the expectations of those who will be playing on the console so they are not surprised.

We are having a back and forth over stated facts by CDPR who say the game will look better graphically on the next gen systems
That's why there is a day 1 patch
But we won't the real more improved next gen graphics until next year
I really don't feel like going back to my old posts to find the post by another coli poster with the reddit audio conference link and all the articles with CDPR clearly stating the game will run better GRAPHICALLY
If day 1 comes and there are only improvements in terms of how the game runs
Then they had a change of plans

I got it for about $2000 last year and does not include two 27" 1440p gaming monitors i got for around 500-600 a piece while they were on deals.

I switch between my monitor and my TV. I actually prefer to play on a TV.

I know but he was misinterpreting what the day 1 patch is
I know I'm not getting ray tracing until next year
But the PS5/XSX versions will still be graphically improved on day 1 according to CDPR
Graphics will improved upon more next year and will have ray tracing added
