But just because it BEGAN immediately at the end of Rocky IV, you have to account that in Rocky V years from the start of the film to the end has passed. It wasn't within the same year that Rocky went bankrupted, mortgaged the mansion, relocate back to Philly to reopen the old gym, find Tommy, trained Tommy, and have several fights until the title bout where they broke up their partnership... you REALLY going to believe ALL OF THAT happened within the SAME year or even two as Rocky IV?????

Dude, they was time jumps in this film! So stop assuming they do not age in the Rocky franchise.

lol having someone kill Viktor would be dumb as hell lol. Adonis didnt even speak to Viktor after the fight, they have zero emotional connection for him to want to fight someone who kills Viktor.

IMO have a Floyd Mayweather type villain with another title who wants to unify the belts. Have dude be on some Tupac steez where he gets at Adonis girl and that causes turmoil in their marriage and such so there is a personal dynamic to dive into deeper.

I never said they don't age, I said they don't follow strict rules about aging. And the timeline of Rocky V is not presented as several years in the film. You are correct that in real life those events wouldn't happen that fast, but they do in the context of that film.

That's Hollywood--like in Dark Knight Rises, Bruce Wayne goes broke and the next day they repo his car and turn off the lights. In real life, that would take months (assuming he even had a loan for the car, doubtful for someone that wealthy).

For the next film, they can have him fight a UFC champion like Floyd did, and have Adonis get hurt or something beforehand to make it seem like the UFC fighter has a chance in a boxing match.

That doesn’t quite work, though, because his son is very clearly in the same grade of school all year. As Rocky would say, it's simple mathematics.

Rocky V came out in 1990-91 so the main events from that movie and the relationship with Rocky Jr. was all within that year. You never going to expect subtitles detailing what actual year it is. But you know time passed from 1975 and so forth. to include the birth of his son, when his son was in grade school to when he's in high school and all of that is part of the progression.
