Should I ask for a credit increase or apply for another card ? @SourPowerStraws

I’m at $500 limit right now, I’ve been a Chase customer since I was 15, credit score is in the 720s
Chase does hard pulls for user initiated credit limit increases. If you apply for another card you can split off some of the new limit and move it over to the older card if you want.

yea if you’ve had a good history you can ask for a higher limit. It will be much easier to keep the utilization low with a higher limit.

Explain, is this a balance transfer? I’m new to the CC game

If you call Chase and ask to increase your credit they're gonna do a hard pull on your credit that shows up on your report.

If you're gonna use a hard pull might as well apply for a new line of credit. You can call them up and say take $500 of my credit limit on card X and move it over to card Y. It will reduce the limit on one card and raise it on the other.

Thinking about copping the US Bank rewards card where you get 5% on a sector of your choosing. Does anyone have any experience with the card and whether it's worth it?
US Bank Cash+

I've had this card for years. Its one of the best out there. You get two 5% categories and one 2% category

My two 5% choices are: internet/tv/steaming & cell phone providers
2% choice is gas stations

Its easy money just pay your bill in full every month and rack up the dough. I even have a low tier/basic savings account with them just to dump the cash back I receive from the card into. You're basically getting paid to use this card if you do it right :wow:

I'd hold off on both of those since they're both catered to travel which is dead right now. Plus Amex plat annual fee is like $450 or more I believe.
Both AF are $550 right now. Probably going to go Amex since CSR increased there’s from $450 with no real benefits to me.
