In the 750 club and capital rejected me for the savior card smh
I'd pass on that card anyway. It has a $95 annual fee for dining and entertainment @ 4%.

The US Bank Altitude Go card offers 4% cash back for dining on a card with no annual fee. The only advantage to the Savor card is the entertainment category. I want that card but I've applied for too much credit this year and last. New car and like 3 credit cards inside of 2 years and pretty soon I'll be house shopping.

US Bank Cash+

I've had this card for years. Its one of the best out there. You get two 5% categories and one 2% category

My two 5% choices are: internet/tv/steaming & cell phone providers
2% choice is gas stations

Its easy money just pay your bill in full every month and rack up the dough. I even have a low tier/basic savings account with them just to dump the cash back I receive from the card into. You're basically getting paid to use this card if you do it right :wow:
That card is a must have for me. Everyone should have the Cash+, Discover It, and Chase Freedom Flex. Also add to those the PayPal credit card or Citi Double Cash of Fidelity credit card for a 2% card.

These are the cards I'd do:
Cash+ (chose 2 5% categories)
Discover It (rotating 5% categories)
Chase Freedom Flex (rotating 5% categories 3% back on dining)
Citi Double Cash (2% on everything)
Amazon Rewards Visa Signature (5% on Amazon with Prime)
American Express Blue Cash or Preferred (3% back on groceries 2% gas on normal Blue Cash) (6% back on groceries and streaming 3% back on gas on preferred )
Bank of America Cash Rewards (chose 3% category)
Target RerdCard (5% back at Target)
US Bank Altitude Go (4% on dining)

I have all these cards except the last one.

Nice card portfolio. I only carry four cards myself:

US Bank Cash+
Amex Blue Cash
BofA Travel Rewards
Barclays Arrival+

I get offers all the time but there's really no need for extra cards right now especially in the age of Corona from my point of view. Only ones I've been thinking about is probably the BofA cash rewards because I can just dump the dough into my savings or checking account plus get a cash bonus because I'm a preferred member with BofA. Also the Amazon Rewards card. Amex Blue Cash is my least favorite card because its only statement credit and they won't cut you a check or you can't transfer the cashback into an outside bank.

-On those cards you got.. did they start you off with some nice limits or did you have to hit them up for credit line increases?

Thinking about copping the US Bank rewards card where you get 5% on a sector of your choosing. Does anyone have any experience with the card and whether it's worth it?
Looks like most of their categories are around discretionary spending that I cut back in during covid times.

Thinking about the Blue Cash Preferred now since they have 5% CB on groceries. I'm in the 750 club but I saw a few posts earlier someone got rejected by them :lupe:

US Bank has utilities. I always do that and electronics stores. It’s my 5% back at Best Buy card and on my power and gas bill. It is worth having. If you don’t do electronics it has cell phones as an option too as well as streaming.

I use BCP but it’s overrated. You with BCE get 3% back but with a Chase Freedom and Discover It both will get grocery stores likely in different quarters which is 5% back there for 6 out of 12 months and one if not both will get Walmart for a quarter which if you have a super that’s a grocery store too. That’s at least 9 months of 5% cash back with no annual fee. At that point even if you have to do 3 months @ 3% you’ve beat BCP because of the $95 fee.

2020
Q1 5% Groceries on Discover It
Q2 5% Groceries on Chase Freedom
Q3 3% Amex Blue Cash Everyday
Q4 5% Walmart on Chase Freedom
$270 on $1500 per quarter

2020 Amex Blue Cash Preferred
$360 - $95 AF = $265 on $1500 spend per quarter at groceries stores.
That's $500 a month in grocery spend. If you spend even less that that it's even more lopsided.

i've been looking for a visa signature card with a low interest rate but I might settle for one with a better cashback rate . :ehh:

I just have the Discover IT card so that only covers Q1 2021 more than likely.

Digging into things a bit more though, after the first year when the annual fee is waived, savings only really kick in after spending at least $1,583 in groceries (more for other services). That works out to spending $132/mo b4 profits start kicking in, which, as a single frugal dude is relatively high, so back to the drawing board I go.

Got denied by US Bank but copped that Chase Sapphire Preferred instead:wow:
US Bank is kinda funny when you don't have a relationship with them. They went out on a limb for me but back then I damn near had a perfect FICO score. They gave me a really low limit and boosted it a few times since then but it's still kinda low.

You can call in and ask them to reconsider. I've heard of people having success doing that with solid scores. I guess if you bank with them already it's easier to get approved.

That's what I heard. I'll try again down the road. I have enough cards low-key. I opened up 4 in the last month alone:francis:.

My score still solid tho so I'm just gonna chill and slowly make my way toward that Citi Double Cash down the line:wow:

Us bank stay playing games. While I have no issue with my cc, it has a high limit. I wanted to refi my car to get a lower payment because we needed to buy another car. I was denied and told to apply for a personal loan to pay off and get a lower payment, denied. I go to the dealer and tell them my terms. I will only buy a car if I can roll my existing balance in and the interest rate has to be lower than what I have. Us bank had the audacity to approve me for the loan and at a much lower rate, I ended up going with a different lender who was lower. But like I said. They play games
