Soon as I hit this next check I’m paying off all my credit card debt and cuttin them hoes up until further notice
Cutting up credit cards isn't the right move. Everyone should learn to manage credit. As long as your debt level is manageable and you aren't paying interest no harm no foul.

It’s ok to cut your cards up while you’re paying them off. If you’re not able to pay the balance in full each month, cutting them up to deter usage is important. Just don’t close the accounts, that impacts your credit more than temporary lack of usage.

Cutting them up doesn't really teach you to live with having access to credit. At some point you have to learn to live with access to credit. It's better to tackle it head on than put it off.

I think I'm gonna see what Navy Federal is hitting on :patrice:

Heard they only pull your Transition report and I only got one hard inquiry on there that's about to fall off later this month.

Could use that increase in available credit to lower my overall utilization for the next several months.

After that I'm gucci for the next couple years tbh. Just product changes and credit line increases until I see an offer I just can't miss.

We don’t have the same opinion about credit, so I won’t argue with what you said. My advice was more so for an individual that is using credit cards to supplement their income. Cut them up, figure out your true income and expenses and manage that well before you introduce credit.

Anyone have experience with the fidelity visa? 2% cb no restrictions. Deposit into a fidelity account for basically free money to invest. Thoughts?

I have that card. I don't like that it requires you to have maybe at least $25 in CB before you can redeem it. I use it in tandem with my Citi Double Cash. Kinda want the SoFi 2% card.

I just figured I could literally pay all bills n stuff my other cc don’t have cb for. Free money to invest.

can you buy gift cards with it and get the 2% cb?

I haven't tried to buy gift cards with it. I don't really do manufactured spending.
