Car dealership told me my credit score a 660 but on those free credit reports its 730...who do I believe :patrice:
depends on how legit the dealership is but usually they have much more in depth credit reports than some free online shyt. i work at an automation honda dealership so i see people get their shyt ran ona daily basis. They can see how many loans people have out, what they owe, etc. Again, it depends on the dealership, but you gotta think that they're definitely gonna want to be a lot more sure about your credit before financing you a car more than some free website that gets paid mostly by ads.

Depends on the model they're using.

My FICO score is like 30 points lower than my TransUnion score

I never had a card until 2014 when I got pissed cause we caught a flat going out of town and I was like damn I need a card so I can get rental cars. Applied for a mortgage this past month and got approved with a credit score of 730 :lupe: I only have one card..a Capital One Quicksilver but I always made payments on time and kept the charges relatively low. I'm tempted to get another but I don't want it to knock my score down for applying.

It's more beneficial in the long run to get another card. Your score may decrease by a few points for a few months. But the increased credit is worth it. It helps with your credit utilization too

I did a reset in 13 but have no debt, not interested in getting any other cards until I prequalify for the lowest APR. I get some offers from some firms but I'd rather keep getting increases from soft pull companies in the interim. (Amex, CapOne) When I move I'll open something to furnish my place and not pay interest.

My scores vary wildly, but still under 740 which I'm aiming for higher, can't do much about that except wait for now. I have no other debt so that knocked me down a bit with having a mix of credit (paid off all my student loans).

AMEX Starwood is my main and then I use a Mastercard Citi Rewards as a back up for places that don't take AMEX.

I started with the quicksilver too. Try the citi 2% cash back card. Your credit score is good, you'll be approved. Plus citi gives you a FICO score while capital one gives you a TransUnion score
I only got Chase Freedom right now and my credit is 740 and rising. If Im getting a second card it gotta be on par ya feel me? :sas1:

I just opened a complaint regarding a card of mine because it shows I have multiple closed accounts when its really the same one.

The citi card is better imo

They're pretty similar but I enjoy cash back on anything

Freedom had higher cash back but the categories rotate

Plus it's a 1500 limit each quarter

Citi is unlimited

I quoted the wrong poster earlier, thought you had the quicksilver

Hmm...how close is Credit Karma to your FICO? It seems yours is showing a bit of variance because one is in late March the other is in May.
