you might not like it, but the first round is all about drafting for need....that player is expected to fill a hole.....and it's not necessarily taking a lesser player...it all depends on how you have those players rated...if the player you have rated the best, but doesn't fill a need, is rated that high over a player you have rated that fills a need, then yea, i'd say take the best available....but if they are closely rated, you take need first..

zeke checks a lot of boxes. highest rb wonderlic so he's smart, mcshay says he's the best blocking back he's ever evaluated, he was a former receiver in high school so he can catch the ball, he's a fiery competitor, durable.....he's a player with a very high floor.

The same Todd McShay that the current league MVP should try to play Tight End.

Revis had great defenders around him in NY and in New England he had arguably the best qb ever and the best coach. 2 things he wouldnt have in Dallas. AP on the other hand is Demarco on steroids and we saw 2014. Imagine that type of running back in 2009 (the year Revis got elite). Yall nikkas crazy. AP played only one year with Romo level qb play which was 2009.
