Rui has a solid midrange game, has improved significantly on catch and shoot from 3. Doesn't get to the FT line nearly enough. Doesn't get a ton of rebounds or steals or blocks for a 6'8'' guy with length.

He has poor awareness and feel on both ends of the court. On offense, he has tunnel vision and misses open teammates. He isn't doing it because he's selfish, its because he has a poor feel even though he has shown he can make a nice pass from time to time.

On defense, he can guard his man.

But he gets lost in team defense.

Bron will get him right.

fukk Wright thinking he can't be looekd off?:mjlol:

One good thing about Rui tho is that while his shooting numbers have been kind of up and down for his career his corner 3 point shooting has been pretty damn good over the last two seasons …he’s shooting 42% on corner 3s this year on 42 attempts and shot 44% from the corners on 36 attempts last season …he just needs to stay away from that above the break 3 but those corners will be open playing with LeBron and AD

Don't forget to add the automatic minimum 5% drop in 3-point percentage once a players suits up for the Lakers.

Norfeast groovin…
Imma need @CantStop and @2Quik4UHoes to call off the LWO dogs and tell em let Rui make it out here.

Nah seriously Im concerned about his mental health if 2016 CantStop shows up :lupe:

LWO always gives a grace period, same will be true for Rui-san. I think he’ll work out actually I always liked his potential as a player so hopefully being on the Lakers and playing alongside Russ again as well as Bron/AD(:russ: ) will help out.

Plus in terms of business, being the top Japanese baller on the Lakers is a potentially highly lucrative partnership for him and GOAT franchise. :ehh:

If brehs are lucky, we just got a Great Value Halfu Kawhi :ehh:

I don't like this trade for the Lakers at all. There's a reason y'all got Rui for Nunn and some 2nd-rounders. He's the ultimate extreme of a Coli player - does everything terrible other than score flashy. If he's not making a bucket, he's probably actively making the play worse, and he doesn't make buckets that efficiently. His talent is meaningless when his teams are always much worse on both sides of the ball whenever he's on the court. He's like a dollar store version of MPJ.
This is not A good post

Lakers were scared of his age and lack of defense. Now Lakers just need to grab a big like Plumlee or Bamba or somebody.
Rui isn't known as a good defender either. :heh:

Bogdanovic just went 6-7 from three tonight against the Bucks playing with a bunch of scrubs. Imagine him playing off LeBron and the 15 games AD plays. :what:

For sure it's definitely the age thing and Rui still young enough to grow into being a good defender with the right coach and vets around hum pushing him. He's got all the tools. He's just missing how to use them.

If they're really concerned about his age, that's goofy. He's 33 with two more years on his deal at a very reasonable number. You need vets to play with LeBron and AD and there's nothing about his game to suggest he's gonna fall off a cliff soon. He's a gamer and a perfect fit.

Again, are they truly trying to compete or are they looking to the future, plus being cheap?

The pistons don’t want to trade him
