Isn't that how a culture spreads for the most part, by people traveling and sharing it with others? By the way, even if you include Jamaicans in the diaspora their population still won't exceed 5 million.Also this is incredibly misleading when you have more Jamaicans living outside of Jamaica than in it and is the reason reggae/Rastafarianism caught on globally. Without emigration, none of it crossovers.
let me stir the pot
outside music and gangs, what is AA's global influence?

We built the most powerful country in the world, we created a large portion of its culture that has taken on a life of its own and influenced our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world. We turned Plymouth Rock into Pride Rock and like the circle of life our culture moves us all through despair and hope, through faith and love.You'll never influence shyt until you have your own country

Oh and IN before they claim Jamaicans started Hip Hop.
Just want to address the boldSports obviously But AAs probably has the richest history of Black scholars, artist (not just music), activist and influence on food, fashion, literary tradition, etc
We built one of the greatest empires in history and have been a reformative influence on said empire which obviously has had profound impact globally i.e. No CRM means no Immigration act means no 1 million + Jamaicans in the US.
not sure what your post has to do with mineThe first reggae songs were soul covers.
The first deejays imitated African American soul djs of the 40s.
Without us, there is no reggae.
Hip hop is totally independent, and later played around with dancehall influenced cadences, since a lot of rappers were Jamaican AMERICAN.
Stop.
