Marriages have ups and downs. This generation wants to treat marriage like a date, where you can leave just because you're having a bad day or going through a rutt. Nobody is getting beat/abused or cheated on, they just use "we're going in different directions" BS. You made a covenant, this is not a date. If you not getting beat or marriage not defiled by cheating then finish what you started. Couples who stick it out actually do end up closer/happier in old age.

2nd marriages last half as long as first marriages, and 3rd marriages(if you get there) last half as long as 2nd ones. The grass is not greener and life wont get better if you leave(unless you're getting beat). This is not like shopping where you return an item. It's a stupidly selfish mentality.

70 percent of divorce is filed by woman

It’s a old saying

But if I’m going parachuting and I was told that 70 percent of the time it won’t open I won’t go

If you want to risk all you built for a woman that can wake up with the “I’m not happy” flu

That’s on you

I rather a life partner at this point without the paperwork

do whatever works for you. :salute:

You can't force someone to stay married if they don't wanna.

And that's the point of bringing AT FAULT divorces back because if she just wanna run the the streets she should have to pay the price for it. a man sacrifises ALOT when he gets divorced. so equality is fair game...

And this is also why men not getting married these days vows dont mean shyt to these modern women. they have a few kids then take you for child support while her new man blowing her back out in your former home YOU was forced out of... what a fukking joke :mjlol:

ok if two religious people get married and at some point in the marriage one spouse loses their religious beliefs or changes religious beliefs, if this change becomes a problem for either of them. should they both be forced to remain in the marriage because no fault divorce is no longer an option?

divorce rates give no indication on why people are choosing to divorce.

OK but it shows you it's filed by one gender 70'th percentile in all of america... logically what should the response be for the other gender then???:jbhmm:

you believe theres a epidemic of women having multiple kids and putting years into a marriage only to scam the husband out of half the households networth? :heh:

I wouldn't say there's an epidemic, but the possibility of it happening shouldn't even be there.

And it happens to men every day.

they made a vow, if they can't keep it they will suffer the consequences. Most of these divorced people who were not beat or cheated on regret it in old age.

Ya'll can't just willy nilly live life how you want just becuase you want to. There is a code of conduct and moral/spiritual laws and consequences to pay for that.

If you dont believe that, it's on you, but that does not mean there are no consequences. Marriage is a commitment. You go in KNOWING FULL WELL people change. That's waht the for better or worse vow is about. Finish what you started or join GMB.

Marriage is for LIFE, it's not dating. Be GMB if you believe you should just divorce becuase you've lost some fleeting emotion that comes and goes. It's dumb to live that way and destructive.
