Isn't parking already prohibitively expensive?
monthly rates were bare minimum $300 years ago....overnight parking was like $50....can't imagine now

Just looked it up, it varies between 449 - 1000 a month depending on the garage.monthly rates were bare minimum $300 years ago....overnight parking was like $50....can't imagine now

Bay area did this in San Jose a few years ago, now its in a lot of places in the bay area called "express lanes" (that used to be carpool lanes in some of these cities 
) and soon from what I understand, will be on every freeway in the bay

They didn't implement it because of money. It's literally in the title "congestion pricing". It's meant to reduce traffic.
