The second question is interesting though. One of the things I have noticed about the liberal agenda is they never replace old failing programs They just create new ones on top of them and form a liberal lasagna of public health initiatives. These policies are all fully funded despite direct overlap and poor and/or nonexistent results...

Your concept of social medicine is so laughable. The government doesn't meddle in the actual health care and barely admin even in most systems. They provide access, regulations and get billed. That hospital bill is ridiculous

whatever you mean by cost...if it doesn't end up being profitable then it has to be discarded.
Hospitals are a business , the end goal just like any business is profit.

Of course there can be ways to bring down cost but the government should not be part of the equation.

at costs means you still pay doctors a salary. instead of using profits to distribute to shareholders you instead use as capital to expand and improve the services offered. Hospitals and healthcare operating as a business to make a profit for it's shareholders is what got us in this current situation. This is why they charge you 7,500$ for sitting in a recovery room for 2 hours. It's fukked up and wrong.
