At some point you have to take some responsibility. Unless her money is making you fill in the bubble next to her name, you have a choice. Just like people chose trump, people chose to keep her in office into her 90s.
Voters have the ability to recognize she's going to be in her 90s when they pull the lever.

No amount of resources can hide that. Folks just don't take voting seriously and this is further proof positive of that point.:francis:

This is like saying fans are to blame entirely for who they vote for on all star ballots. When you don’t know much about someone, you will go with name recognition. That’s why people often ignore challengers because their name won’t get heard unless you make them a thing.
Don’t Vote then :yeshrug: or research

last cycle I was looking up random people running for judge, sheriff, school board, etc

I know it’s a headache finding info on them but if you care you’ll do what it takes. If you don’t, you’ll settle for a 90 year and whatever comes with her :yeshrug:

Edit: and I’m not absolving the machine. I’m just saying like a lot of things, the etiology often is multifactorial

Right but you’re a specific sort of person. Whenever I’m speaking on politics or any topic, I’m thinking about the “casual” or average person. Most people engage in politics half-heartedly, and seasonally. I wish people were like you and what you described. But that would take a societal overhaul. It’s much easier to reform campaign finance and get a consensus on that then in how Americans engage with civics.

I initially entered this thread ready to go in on Diane but after reading about the letters, interviews and her husband death I’m more sympathetic towards her. While it’s clear regardless of what senator Tim kaine is saying, she is clearly deteriorating and needs to step down.

I just assume they will let her play it out until 2024
People lose their husbands everyday. fukk her. She just doesn’t want to give up power.

Uncertain grounds
their addicted to the power

They're addicted to the money

They are a whole machine that generates money for their family and preferred associates

They don't give an actual fukk about wielding power or determining which direction the country goes

It's about having the access to information and capital that lines their pockets.

If they could generate that wealth without being in power I assure you they would prefer to do so
