Aledo is curb stomping College Station. They are on their way to winnin their 11th state title out of the last 13 years.

@satam55 @Dr. Narcisse I watched some of the Westlake/North Shore and Duncanville/Westfield games this morning. NS will win by 2 TDs today, maybe more. Dville's QB is worse than I thought. They have a great RB but nothing at QB. NS's oline handled Westlake's D most of the game.

Samples best bet was to win one with Ja'Quinden Jackson. Unfortunately he lost one game w/ him on a hail mary and the other one Jackson tore his ACL in the semi-final game a week before.
Yeah, Duncanville only barely beating North Shore's district rival Spring Westfield by 7 in the 4th round of the playoffs, while North Shore dominated Spring Westfield in their regular season match-up by 30 wasn't a good look for Duncanville. That + North Shore putting their foot in the ass of Austin Westlake last week is why most folks are picking NS to beat Duncanville tonight.

Samples needs a another star QB to come through his program OR Duncanville gets lucky enough 1 of these seasons to fall in the D2 bracket like DeSoto & Southlake Carroll did this postseason.

Watching the highlights, makes it worse. Westfield had receivers running open, but their QB couldn't get them the ball. Then there was a fumble by Duncanville's rb that would have changed the game but the refs called him down. Doesn't look like he was down tho on the replay. 11:43 mark.

I like Duncanville's rb but that's about it. He's one of those backs who goes to Ole Miss and tears it up and has a decent career in the league.

Damn, the gap between their starter and backup is that wide?
QB1 was supposed to be Jamier Willis but he tore his ACL in the first game of the year against SOC. He was looking good in that game before he got hurt. So the backup has been starting all year. He's been OK but he's green, only a soph.

This won’t ever happen because they have the largest enrollment in their district by far.

Samples gotta hope NS slips up in the playoffs somehow. I don’t see how that happens with Westlake being down for a bit with Todd Dodge’s retirement.

Duncanville & NS legitimately might be playing each other again next year as well. No one will be a legit threat to them.

Duncanville & North Shore are pretty much Texas’ own public version of Mater Dei & St. John Bosco. Obviously not as dominate, but they got a stranglehold on everyone else in the state.

It took Duncanville losing to one of the most talented Texas QBs ever & North Shore losing to one of the best coaches in Texas history to not have a 5 peat. Crazy.

If Duncanville hadn't been upset by Southlake Carroll in the 2020 state semifinals, you think that Duncanville would've beat Austin Westlake in the title game?

Eh, nah. Probably would’ve been a little bit more competitive cause Duncanville is more athletic, but Duncanville would’ve lost that too.
