I take every era as it is. Today's era has found the best way to maximize scoring by prioritizing 3-pt shots (and shots in the paint) because they're the most efficient shots and they space the floor allowing for more easy scoring opportunities. Anything arguing against that is folks playing contrarian. It's like saying 2+2=4 and then folks come along and try arguing it's really something else because they're in their feelings - that's what y'all are doing.
Hoops is about putting the ball in the basket. If y'all have an issue with the league doing that, then the issue is more with y'all instead of the product.
