What evidence to you have that the NBA has declined since 2020?
Let's see it.

1. Track flopping and foul baiting similarly to flagrant fouls. Have a committee of ex players decide if it's a flop or foul bait. After 5 violations, the player starts getting suspended from games.
2. Go from 82 games to 70 regular season games and start later in the year. Try harder to compete with MLB as a Spring/Summer sport.
3. Put a rule where a team can't be in the top 10 of the draft lottery multiple years in a row OR more than 2 in a rotating 4 year period to prevent tanking.
4. Find a "marquee" day. NFL stole Christmas. Because of the later start from #2 I'd make sure there's a finals game on 4th of July

Whether I believe the product is better or not is irrelevant. My preferences have no bearing on viewership and NBA fandom. I could hate this era, but that doesn't mean my opinion of it is reflective of everyone else's, which is a concept y'all have a hard time grasping.

I'm simply stating more people follow the NBA over the last 5-10 years than ever before. That's a fact.
Y'all only don't like today's NBA because it doesn't remind you of your childhoods. Y'all say 3s are the problem with the product, and y'all want more post play and midrange activity, and someone like Jokic embodies that on an all-time level, except because he's a fat Euro, y'all don't care for him. Which tells me it's really not about hoops, itself, it's more about how y'all identify with the players.
But even if we had players and a league like that, y'all would still find a way to hate because people would start putting today's players/league over your childhood heroes and y'all would find a way to twist it into hating them instead.

I'm arguing against the point of 3s being a bad shot - that has nothing do with whether I like it or not.
I take every era as it is. Today's era has found the best way to maximize scoring by prioritizing 3-pt shots (and shots in the paint) because they're the most efficient shots and they space the floor allowing for more easy scoring opportunities. Anything arguing against that is folks playing contrarian. It's like saying 2+2=4 and then folks come along and try arguing it's really something else because they're in their feelings - that's what y'all are doing.
Hoops is about putting the ball in the basket. If y'all have an issue with the league doing that, then the issue is more with y'all instead of the product.

The tik tok ain't saying all that...it's saying he flopped and pretending he didn't actually get hit in the face which he did. Ref should've called that before he even had a chance to flop.
It's that same kind of shyt that helps spread misinformation in shyt that actually matters and the fact that a partner to the NBA is engaging in this is a bigger issue than players shooting 3s or flopping.
