"His rizz is scaring her" whispered my nephew while watching this.

I liked the most of this movie but the third act was a bit clunky. Viola ate up the scenery whenever she was on screen. Snow was really good from the beginning to end. S/o District variant Jonathan Majors, realest tribute of them all. Rachel tried her best with that accent. I know this one was a prequel but I may have to revisit the original trilogy because now I'm intrigued.

My Disney+ sub was about to run out and it's the only Star Wars film I hadn't seen. Meant to watch earlier, but got tired of all the SW discourse online. Movie has a frenetic pace with characters just jumping from scene to scene. And not to beat a dead horse, but some of the major storyline decisions they made were pretty laughable. Not really the actors fault though.

Finally got around to seeing this and thought it was great. Really liked the animation, voice cast, and overall story.

Some stuff I watched over the past week, thanks to off days

The Killer - 6/10 (Not awful but just very bland and predictable, a background movie if you will)

Blue Beetle - 5/10 (So happy I decided to wait for it to hit streaming instead of going to theaters bc I would’ve been pissed)

Die Hard 2 & 3 - :banderas:/10 (I had only seen the first one to this point, but definitely lived up to it. Not sure if I’ll watch the other two)

Bye Bye Barry - 8/10 (The new Barry Sanders doc on Amazon, pretty good watch :ehh:)

Ford v. Ferrari - 8.5/10 (Bale & Damon were cooking :wow:)

Straight trash. It's about a woman falsely accused of witchcraft. Too long and doesn't really raise to a level above torture porn. It takes itself seriously but isn't believable (full of anachronisms etc). Lead actress is weak. Probably the worst film Neil Marshall ever made, but if you know about the lead actress' past you can probably guess how it came about :sas2:

Another trash joint from Neil Marshall and his wife:francis: Decent concept (The Russian invasion of Afghanistan being a cover for Alien/Human hybrid experimentation), but cheesy dialogue, cliche characters and trash acting make it a flop. Dude's been living off "the Descent" for the longest.

School based comedies aren't supposed to be polite, or as linear as this shyt was. The setup to the movie's problem and main topic was laughably simplistic and everything else after that was just a set of meandering scenes in which this movie fails to really try to be anything other than a modern day version of the piece of literature the character bases her strife off of. It was alright, but not great.

So the woman is a dominatrix who has been servicing this rich man who is explaining to her that he no longer needs her services. The woman basically can’t accept this and gets emotional and tries to blackmail him stating he better pay her half of his years salary or she will release videos she secretly recorded which would potentially ruin his image as a newly crowned ceo following his fathers death. (That’s not a spoiler… it’s in the plot summary ..gives nothing away)

I saw this was the plot and was willing to give it a try given the plot looked like it might be a good thriller. It wasn’t graphic or anything where it was showing anyone nude at all..

Basically…One of the worst fukking movies I have seen in my entire life. The acting was not good to me. The characters were annoying and not believable. I didn’t expect them to be in one room (hotel room) the entire movie , full of empty space filling dialogue. I’m cool with the concept of a one location film, but that has to have strong dialogue. It was even a point in the movie where the woman he was his dominatrix acted as his father and initiated sexual acts.. I literally turned the movie off at that point. Couldn’t finish it. Don’t waste your time on this

Sigh.....see I...really enjoyed this move for what it was. Yes, it wasn't Halloween ala Michael Myers. Yes, it was a cash grab to get folks to go crazy over the sequel crazed. But as a stand alone, it was pretty good. I always loved movies where there's no sort of happy ending, just a descent to madness as the protagonist, who is not much of a good guy by any means, is left helpless to the fact that he didn't save the day.

I thought it was solid, maybe not as funny as I was hoping it would be. A few too many spots where it was silly and over the top just for the sake of it, but I did like the core friendship at the center of the movie and was on board with the group of friends by the end. Some of the more serious moments worked well.

I saw this as well and rip it like you did. It takes "the one" concept and chokes It. Welcome to the era where they make everything for 30+ year old white women.
