She said adding hair to cornrows i.e. braided extensions. You all don't even know what you are discussing.Lies?! Proof of BW being called self haters for rocking cornrows please. Please show me this.
It’s not Just about weave in and of itself and you know that. That’s a deflection. It’s about wearing weave that’s european/Asian textured. The braids that y’all wear are weave but you know that’s not what we’re talking about. White women wear a lot of weave too, but the difference is that they wear weave that’s the same texture as their natural hair. The blonde shyt gets called out the most because it’s the most unnatural looking. Why is blonde hair the biggest issue tho?
If ya’ll have a problem with bw wearing wigs/weaves then have a problem with ALL of it- not just when it’s blonde.
Ok. Unless you’re Asian or South American tho, strapping that shytmon top of your own natural hair on a consistent basis is a sign of self hate or rxtreme insecurity at the least.Regarding hair texture, Asian/South American hair is straighter and easier to manage on a day to day basis.
I don’t believe this. There may have been black women who have been fired for a particular hairstyle that they’ve chosen to wear their natural hair in, but just firing a woman for wearing the natural hair that grows out of her head would obviously be against the law. Do you honestly think that it’s legal for employers to force black female employees to wear weaves/wigs or get perms?I’ve already discussed in this thread how bw have been fired for wearing natural hair but you conveniently missed that post.
The “not all tho” talking point is a deflection because obviously we’re talking in general. I’d say that the overwhelming majority of black women who wear weave/wigs on a consistent basis have self hate or insecurity issues with their own natural hair. This is such common knowledge that I’m amazed that y’all are denying it. Y’all would be better off just reminding those who are overly critical that this is all rooted in being raised in a white supremacist society.I also touched on how SOME bw are self-hating and wear blonde hair and blue contacts for that very reason, but that doesn’t mean EVERY woman who does it feels that way.
I can only say so much about this because it varies from woman to woman.
In the same manner, not every man who buys his car on HP is stuntin or broke; some do it because they don’t have the money upfront at that time and others do it out of convenience.
Again, it varies.
facts. Bruh these chics will make up ANYTHING
She said adding hair to cornrows i.e. braided extensions. You all don't even know what you are discussing.
Yall insist upon selling this bullshyt then you get frustrated when people don’t buy it. The only people who go for the spin you posted above are other black women like you. Everybody knows that black women’s dependence on weave/wigs and preferences for European and Asian looking hairstyles is ALL about self hate issues. Now the self hate has been instilled by systematic white supremacy, so I’m not saying it’s inherent. It is what it is tho.
I really don’t know who y’all think that you’re fooling. The funny thing is y’all will tell on yourselves if people just let you talk.
“I’m dark, I’m 53, I’m in my natural hair – I’m in bed with Liam Neeson. And he’s not my slave owner. I’m not a prostitute. It’s not trying to make any social or political statements. We simply are a couple in love. I’ve never seen it before,” - Viola Davis
Now that’s a 53 year old black woman who’s married to a black man admitting that she still seeks validation from white men. She admits to the insecurity about her hair and other phenotypical traits and how being in a love scene with a white man validates her and other black women like her. She’s so lost and broken spirited that she doesn’t even realize that she’s perpetuating her own inferiority. She’s empowering the same people(whites) who have deemed her and other black women inferior, by putting so much importance on their approval/validation.
The OP simply re-posted a social media comment that was made by a black woman. How did you miss that? A black woman is the one who made the original comment pointing out black women’s hypocrisy. So no, this isn’t black men throwing black women under the bus.
This is about black women’s hypocrisy and self hate. Y’all are quick to call out whites and other non black women for “appropriating” when y’all appropriate all of the time. Y’all are also quick to sweat any white or Asian boy with the least amount of “swag” associated with black men. Every black man knows that if a white boy has just a little bit of our swag, black women will be lining up for him. Not all, but a lot.
I’m not even shytting on black women but we’ve got to keep it real. In general, y’all are lost out here.
Well she can show me proof then nikka. I covered braids/extensions/etc. in my previous posts and how I PERSONALLY felt about it. It wasn't even brought up in the post she was replying to, it was a deflection.
I work at a call center
This is the highest concentration of Black women I have ever worked around. Easily 60% of all the workers are sisters.
The thing I am so sick of is the fake hair.
The straight weave is one thing but the head full of rope look just boggles my mind
Who thinks this is attractive?
