Also, we'll have a lot easier time rehabilitating prisoners if we give them an economically fruitful community to go back to. Which white people haven't given minorities through other racist bullshyt.
And there won't be as many prisoners in the first place if we invested in inner city schools more, which No Child Left Behind completely gutted by implementing state tests to see how much money you get. Obviously you can see problem: White suburban schools do better on tests, so they get all the money that really should've gone to inner city schools that are struggling more.

While that is all well and good I don't think the U.S. can model it's system off a country's as homogeneous as Sweden. I believe crime is simply looked at differently here both by criminals and the courts. I agree with your other points.

Most definitely, a country as massive as the United States is going to have to do things differently, but it definitely shows it can be done. And maybe we should have our justice system bend more toward rehabilitation than punishment.
