How about murders as a teen? Also, some murders change. I try to have hind-sight.

Don't try to justified murderers, because there's always one way or another to feel sorry for them, but the only people we should feel sorry is the victim who never had a chance to live because someone took his life, so no, there's a limit for my empathy.

Good point.

I still think we need to make ways for some prisoner to have contact with people on the outside. I'm in favor of conjugal visits.

People make very careless mistakes.
Some of us got away with it.
Some of us didn't.
Crime isn't being punished, sloppiness is.
When you murder a nikka, they don't really give a fukk. My man got a cool 8 for cutting this Asian breh's throat in a 30 man brawl. 8. I know people who got out in 5 for a body. Also people doing 70 because they were afraid. Innocent people.
They're just mad you took some tax revenue. There is no rehabilitation or correction going on other than the correction of error in criminal technique. Recidivism rate has been sky high forever. For a reason. It's big business. No dope, no rehab clinics, no police jobs, no opiate inhibitor sales, no murder...no reason to keep all this going.
Crimes against vulnerable populations seem to get light punishments when perpetrated by the mirror of the prosecution. They don't care, not even when it's their kids.

There needs to be prison reform

Prison should work like rehabilitation.

I don't think people should be arrested for petty crimes. They should be fined and to do some form of community service.

A record set so many people back. My uncs did hard time, they have full time jobs but that was blessing in its own.

Most felonies I know can't even secure a job because it's not enough for them to sustain themselves. Painstaking labor for crumbs

Poverty plays a huge role in the prison system. Less fortunate people are more inclined to do "criminal" behavior than well off people. In a lot of cases, well off people don't even get jail time for the same crime someone might do 2-3 for.

I hate to break it to you, but that idea isn't realistic breh. That would have so many human rights violations and the U.N. would step in.

I think it would fly. Less human rights violations than prison. The only thing is you'd be removed from our society. Our society isn't a God given right, it's a man given right. Man gave it, man can take it away.
