I wanted to hate on ya'll, but; I've been on it for the last 2 weeks. I punked out and took one warm shower.

I still need to do more research.

Yeah this is pretty much my standard now. I start warm and clean myself off with my pores opened and then switch to lukewarm to get my body ready and then when I got more soap on me I switch it to ice cold and wash everything off so the longer it takes to clean off the longer I gotta face the ice so it makes it less torturous.

I can do full cold now from start to finish :whew:

...but only after working out. I keep the temperature cold in my apartment so if I need to shower after waking up best i can manage is lukewarm, I can't take a cold shower when I wake up already freezing :sadcam:

I used to box and weighlift heavy so i needed this type of thing cause my nerves would literally feel like :bustback: inside

So i got on this cold shower wave. Turning gradually just prolongs the torture. Just switch it immediately to the coldest setting and stand there STIFF and STILL as hell, eyes clenched shut and fight that **** mentally. I usually stand there eyes closed like:omg: Focus the water to hit that spot on the back of your neck. like so:
hopkins4545.jpg

that spot is really the heart of the nervous system, and once that area gets over the shock of the freezing cold, it gets easier from there. Stay in that water, still as **** until you FEEL your heart start beating faster, like you feel it beating deep and heavy. Stay for about another 20-30 seconds(circulation takes about 23 seconds to do a full cycle), then you can get out.

Its torture brehs, but believe me, it works if you work out heavy, its good for your skin, great for circulation, and will WAKE you up like :merchant:

Its a mental exercise too, dont run from it, stand there and focus on the torture mentally. When you done, believe me, for the next hour or so, you goin step out feeling strong as an OX:bryan:
Yeah Focus on your breathing, slow conscious breaths will aid in adjusting to the cold. Namaste!

I'm surprised by how much easier this gets the more you do it.

Jumped in the ocean today could only stay in a couple minutes, didn't even feel cold just painful :bryan:

After a good session your body temp is way up so you won't actually be that cold. I wouldn't do it when I hadn't just been training though. Don't see the point.

Did this yesterday after stepping into my 86 degree apartment :damn:

Turned on the shower for a few minutes all the way cold before stepping in :ahh:

I'm going to make this a habit through the end of Summer.
