The Monday Morning QB takes about Kamala being selected to be VP four years ago are bad.
Almost as bad as the "Bernie could win, he would have beaten Trump in 2020" takes.
They're really not. She was one of the early lead candidates and her derailing once people started to learn more, which opened the field to an incredibly crowded field, is a key reason why Biden had to be rolled out again.

The fact that his team knew about his decline and refused to make any preparations is :wow:

Many books will be written about what was going on in the White House as they attempted to pull a Weekend at Bernie’s on the country.

This. We were talking about his age 5 years ago! Thryre scrambling like they thought Trump wasn’t going to make it. Well, surprise.

My biggest problem with this whole thing is- all these people are wanting Biden out, but I have YET to hear of ONE person who they are getting behind that will rally everyone together and would have a chance to win at all.

So what good is it to get Biden to drop out if no one else can win? Out here just sabotaging your own chances is just dumb.

they don't want Biden to run but have yet to provide an alternative
Due to personal reasons and people being in denial, the alternative is Kamala Harris.

The VP (who is second in command) traditionally will always in any scenario be next in line when the President is no longer able to perform, and no party members would challenge it out of respect for the vice president. Just like when JFK was assassinated nobody in the party challenged, denied, or leapfrogged over Vice President Lyndon B Johnson's right to the presidency.

That's why Gavin has made it clear he's not interested, Gretchen has made it clear without verbally saying it, and no other major Dems are looking to rock that boat as it'll create more problems.

If the Dems want Biden to step down it tells me despite popular assumption/belief, they're confident in Kamala to get it done, especially in these circumstances and scenarios. People don't like Kamala but must ask themselves who they despise more...her or Trump?

Are they gonna let personal feelings and trivial matters allow a guy who vows to make life difficult for everybody who doesn't align with his and their party's agendas/beliefs win? Versus a woman who might not be the most favorable candidate at the moment but is a decent person who at least aspires to not fuk the country and its people over with fascist authoritarian policies and agendas.

Above the fray.

We're talking about her being selected for Biden's VP.

Your dislike of Kamala is strong. She wasnt the 1st and won't be the last presidential candidate to drop out of the race and then be added to the ticket

isnt this strategy and message diametrically opposed to what we are being told?

we, the voters, have been told for almost 2 years that there won't be elections in 2028 if trump wins

why are we talking about new and younger candidates in 2028, if trump could win now and end those prospects

it's this mixed messaging, hypocrisy, and lack of transparency that people dislike about establishment politicians and especially establishment democrats.

bernie was very clear about what his platform is and how he'd get it done. we didnt care if he was 1000 years old, it made sense. this wheel spinning democrats are doing now is dangerous and will only cement Trump's victory.

that is, unless they don't actually see him as a threat america won't survive and it's all just rhetoric.
Just like the republican party was infiltrated by fascists, the democratic party has been infiltrated by the Professional Managerial Class(PMC) they've become the party of wealthy liberals who are disconnected from the actual material conditions of the electorate. To them, poverty is only theoretical. Most of them have not had to worry about bills, child care, medical care and rent in over 3 decades.

They're like the managers and CEOs at your job who will acknowledge there are problems but not offer overtime, more benefits, or even a dollar more of pay. They might bring in some donuts though, or maybe offer a "team building" workshop on one of your days off. They didn't support Bernie because he would speak to YOUR material interests, but not theirs.

If Bernie got in, he'd supercharge the FTC, SEC and IRS. Those agencies would fire lawsuits like machinegun rounds until they've shattered the creeping monopolies like google, amazon and Microsoft into pieces. He'd end fossil fuel subsidies and redirect that back into green energy. He'd raise the tax rate and the effects of those things would help you, but if you've invested in large index funds and if your job's pension is invested into these companies, your retirement would be less resistant to the inflation these a$$holes would try to trigger in retaliation.

America is a country that refuses to acknowledge just how divided their class structure is. If you don't have class solidarity you'll get stomped on every time. The powerful in america have been smart enough to exaggerate cultural differences to make sure a white man working at an amazon warehouse still feels like he's in a better position than a black man working as a delivery driver for the same company.

A primary would garner all the attention in the world (literally the whole world will tube in) and give the best candidate a chance to present their goals as the leader of the country.

It's time for somebody to go populist and really focus on people.

Y'all been having a foolish conversation about name recognition when that shyt means absolutely nothing in 2024. All democrats who are gonna vote Biden is gonna vote whoever is on that ticket. To you nikkas

Moderate Dem - "Oh no, Kamala is black. Oh well, id prefer a Trump dictatorship" 🤣

Crazy ass thought process. The Dems already dedicated to Biden no matter what, are the most knowledgeable voters. Wtf makes you think they will just say "fukk voting" if he steps down?

Y'all can't be serious. Make it make sense to me.
