This man really is the Joe Budden of wrestling. Such a great talent and an innovative mind. But he just keeps getting in his own way…damn shame.

I’m pretty sure he will bounce back from this in some way. Probably get a podcast or something or do more tv/movie roles.

But damn man, AEW was tailor made for someone like Punk. They literally gave him EVERYTHING he wanted…literally gave him his OWN show. And he STILL found a way to self sabotage it.

Can’t blame the “evil corporation” of WWE this time. He only has himself to blame…

This is one of them rare times I REALLY hope Triple H/Vinny Mac don’t bring that man back. He really isn’t worth it IMO..

You bring him in you risk him starting some shyt again…it’s not worth it.

When you have top folks in that company that don’t fukk with you. Ranging from folks in creative and talent. You done goofed..

Damn fukking shame..

If this was a previous era of wrestling, Perry would’ve been the one fired and not Punk. A lot has really changed. The only message this sends is that if you stand up for yourself, challenge a culture to be up to higher standards and respect the tradition of professional wrestling you’ll be exiled and ridiculed by those that take part in that said culture.

AEW is just a culture that Punk doesn’t fit in with. The PWG/Indie mindset is the brain of AEW. A different generation of wrestlers than the ones he came up with. The old school guys/vets don’t wanna rock the ship and continue to get checks.

Punk values traditional wrestling and old school principles. It was a complete style clash although his fued with MJF is the greatest thing the company ever done and will stand the test of time.
This logic has 1 glaring flaw: the old school generation would've 100% worked a program with The Elite as soon they were back on TV. That's something Punk couldn't get done (regardless if he truly wanted it to happen or not) and made shyt worse by trying to get a whole 2 hour show without any interaction with the guys he had a beef with and making it very hard for people to work on Saturday.

The old guys Punk idolized and embraced him when he was younger would've not behaved as childish as he did. They would've went :snoop: taken a deep breath and made everyone realize the best outcome was putting business first and that's something good ol' Phil has never been able to do his entire fukking career.

Punk wants the "old school" wrestling back without the issues that came with it, and that's just not realistic.

Khan being in fear of his life so much that he still sent Punk out to wrestle & didn't immediately have him removed from the building is very funny.

Also it being 2023 & Punk being a big topic of discussion all day but I still can't easily find out if he showed up to the MMA show he was supposed to be working on twitter is amazing.

He supposedly hated Ryback for a year yet it never even came close to physical :laff:

And they ended up working a program again even after all that.

Never stepped to Ryback since he’s double Punk’s size and muscular, but was quick to go at with average built dudes half his size. SAWFT. :mjlol:

Punk is a overly sensitive, miserable manbaby lacking self-awareness, and a bully who only goes after scrawny theater kids. Ultimately is massive headache, and not worth the trouble.

The Elite and their buddies are childish, jealous instigators, who insist on driving away the sizeable portion of the audience that doesn't like goofy indie wrestling completely dominating the product, and have sent the message that if they can harass their top draw out of the company for getting too much shine that no one is safe.

Tony is a weak leader who runs a sloppy organization.

No single party is at fault here, all of these things are true. But now that Tony has stepped up and made a decision on the first problem, what will he do to address the second two problems going forward?

Tune in next time on eX-Twitter/dirtsheets/YouTube, because that's where the most interesting happenings of the promotion take place!!!
