Was WWE cookin the numbers? "70 million views across social media platforms!!!!"

Leads to a modest ~300,000 viewers?
well considering they forced everybody to sit through a shytty 3 hour show just for him to come out with 5 mins left theyre lucky they got that many viewers, im sure several people eventually tapped out and was like "fukk it ill catch it tomorrow"

Austin needs to cut a fukking promo though

Even when the Owens match was awesome and exceeded all my expectations, I'm still pissed they could get Steve to actually cut promos and build up the match. Nick Khan and Endeavor better pay Stone GOAT all the money he wants for a couple of TV appearances to speak and hype a Punk match

Idk if you're a CM Punk fan but if you are thats the last thing you want... Austin will destroy this man. He's punked (pun intended) him in every small interaction they've had. If he was allowed to cook he would embarrass the fry cook

I'm Punk fan, though I don't stan him nor worship him like a lot of brehs in here.

And I disagree with you. Punk is at his best when he's challenged and put in the spotlight with a chip on his shoulder. Letting Austin be Stone GOAT (like he was in Tough Enough) would undoubtedly unleash the best side of Punk. And if for some reason he fails? I'm OK with that, not having an awesome character like Austin cook against a perfect opponent is a bigger mistake than worrying about Punk at this stage of his career.

Twitter video view counts are worthless these days. You’re counted as a view if the half the video is displayed on your screen and gets played for two seconds. Which can easily happen just by scrolling without even actually watching the video.

YouTube is a lot more reasonable. You have to intentionally initiate the play of a video and watch 30 seconds to count as a view.

Facebook and Instagram is on that bullshyt inflate the numbers stuff requiring only three seconds to count as a view. On desktop the whole video has to be on screen to count. On mobile only 50% of the video has to be on screen to count.

TikTok is the worst though. As soon as a video starts playing it counts as a view.

TL;DR: generic social media views counts for videos are a lot of intentionally inflated bullshyt from the app creators, exception being YouTube.

You can count as a view by scrolling past the video and not even actively be watching it.

Outside of YouTube, all it really indicates is you had a moment/video go viral.

The way their business is doing it would be a mistake to not book a stadium for Summerslam or get a fukk ton of money from a state or European country that pays them to host the event.

They already have a big Germany stadium show booked for August 31st.

Summerslam is going to be a stadium, or even more likely, they going to whoever is the highest bidder.

Based on the current state of affairs, they are throwing away money by “only” putting it in the United Center.

They've kinda booked the first half of the year heavy with that (Australia, Paris, Saudi Philly 2 nights for Mania and like you said Berlin end of that month), it actually wouldnt hurt them to book it same month. They've been pretty tight with their spendng but now that the merger is done they kinda have money to play. So whatever cost booking the United Center would be, they're going sell it and make a crazy gate at whatever price especially if its a big CM Punk match vs like Roman Reigns or Logan Paul or something.

I think they're looking at stadiums going forward for Summerslam given it's a tentpole event. United Center (crazy they've only had a couple shows there in the 30 years that building has been around) would be a step backwards.
